clio misfire = wiring problem! Ecu to coilpacks! Help!



ok the car trouble is definately the wiring from ecu to the injectors.

I think its number 4 injector bt stripd it bk with a mate and we must have knockd sumfin and it ran sweet for 1hour! Lol then misfird again.

Its al one harness and i cant find the split wire! Should i just scrap the car? It pisin me off and i cant get to all of the wire, i hate electrics.

Lol been pulin the wires 2day afta takin the front balance block off n tugin injector wires 2 fix temporarily.

What choices have i got?

disconnect each injector one at a time with the engine running and listen for an engine noise change, i doubt its wiring

4th injector dead. Fuk knows how, bt its running sweet nw i changd it!

Quik question, ive dun 400miles with the mirfire and on two cylinders. Should i change anyfin else?

spoke to sooon, lasted 200 miles before the misfire came back.

only this time the misfire isnt as bad and it happend 60miles in on a motorway drive.. i think running on 3 cylinderS? still drivable to a dramatic loss of power like last time.

do you reckon it will be another injector?

how and when does it missfire cos mine has the same problem and cant figure it out ive changed plugs leads and still no change
 
ok been driving the car all yesterday and today and its bin perfect!

so it only misfired on the motorway drive back home..

40miles into the drive at 70mph it started running on 3 cylinders.. but still not a dramatic power loss so still drivable home.

rough idle 2.. i justv carried on as it was in middle of the night and did the oth3er 100 miles of my journey.. got there idle rough, switched off went sleep.. woke up in morning and its been perfect ever since!

something is happening when its on a long drive. to run back on 3 cylinders? i reckon another injector as ive done 400 miles on 2 cylinders..and weakened the toher injectors.

regarding when it started.. it happened again on the motorway.. went on 2 cylinders and not drivable at all.. changed all 4 coilpacks , did nothing! spark plugs 2! did nothing..

someone on here said the wriing.. so i fiddled about with that and it miraculously sorted itself out.. again back on motorway and on 2 cylinders.

showed my friend.. he said 4th injector is dead.. replaced that and its been running perfect ever since (thats was sataerday) motorway drive again and 40miles in it started again, but only on 3 cylinders and no way as bad as before.

i reckon its another injector but what does everyone else think after this description? seeing as you leave it a night and it fixes itself.. something is happning that it doesnt like when on a long motorway drive..

i doubt its wriing now.. either way im getting 3 new injectors and new plugs.. as i popped old ones back in thinking the new plugs made it worse..

lol so all 3 are getting replaced.. and new plugs and hopefully it shouldnt happen again in 2 weeks time when i next take it on the motorway..

but as for local driving its fine. lol

anyone got any ideas ? before i replace all this? saying that im getting the parts cheap.. £20 each for bosch injectors.. and plugs are like £8 aswell for bosch..

i just need the dam car too last me a year lol and engine is perfect , i reckon its something silly.
 
Could be gummed up injector cleaner and new plugs i think

saying that.. sad i know but since 40k this car has been run on super unleaded..

so injectors shouldnt be clogged lol

its now past 140k so lol i assume the injectors are just old and dead.

its a pain really as ive stuck that silly aluminium balance block back on so cant get to injectors now as i dont have the tools to get the b*****d thing back off lol
 
crank sensor is only last thing to check after the injectors are replaced

how do you check that? is it tdc sensor?
 
o tdc sensor i changed last year.. i reckon its injectors.. from them being old and been run on 2 injectors for like 500 miles..

ill change them and plugs.. if it still happens which i doubt it will but just if, then ill do that sensoir again as it cheap.
 
got 2 old ones in the car which seemed to be working fine i can try but im pretty sure all new ones are perfect as i disconnected them when it was misfiring and all made misfire worse.
