I got a friend of mine who is plannin to boost up his clio to 450 bhp fingers crossed (2.0 172bhp). Hes been workin on it for 5 years!!! You could imagine.........should be ready now....will keep you posted!

lol, getting the f4r to 450bhp will be interesting to see

there's got to be a good reason matt went with the vag engine

Dont you reach a point in cars where theres just to much power.For e.g,I know 2 people 1 has a 500 bhp escort cossie and the other has a 380 bhp cossie and theres nothing in it,At some stage there must be a point where its pointless to add any more

Still looking forward to this though.

yeah with too much power, you'll have 0 traction

but with the use of LSD's and traction control/launch control/ big ass slicks = job done

easy to spot if it was paul, orange in colour, no interior, black steelies and an impreza bonnet scoop

running cup 172 front brakes and calipers + Koni adjustable FK coilovers front and rear - strut braces all round........the car will outrun everything on this site on the twisties - on the straights it will humiliate them

how do you know what ever other members cars are and their driving abilities, does it have the MKII RS chassis or just some firm suspension

Ive just explained what it has - ive been to most track days and know most people on here that do the track day scene - even if they have me on the bends i will catch and pass them on the straights.......fancy a do ???

By the way 172 RS shells are exactly the same as standard 1.2 / 1.4 / 1.6 shells - there the same part number - there not uprated or strengthened in any way
 
tbh nothing in this club would be able to even hope to fend it off on the straights, so corners dont really matter as it would get past you and catching something that fast would prove almost impossible... maybe Mike T's car might have a chance?

in its trim at Bruntingthorpe it didn't catch me.

BUT, that was nothing to do with it not being a lot quicker - I think that was to do with where on the circuit we were. IIRC he overtook the ecosse GTI6 Touring car, and that overtook me on the straights comfortably.

It is one rapid car, and as matt says - its so quick on the straights that I don't think much would keep with it. remember this thing is good for 150 + MPH and it gets there very quickly.

I don't think even my cup would come near it on a circuit with a few straights on it like bedford. I would like to think i could have it, but i doubt it - It would be the same with Ktec / BB turbo - straight line they have 250 + bhp this has 400+ bhp...

not a chance.

and matt can drive (sometimes ;-) )

so what your saying Yoz, is that the best way to beat it is when it's on the recovery truck not moving? (Williams style lol)
think Matt was having probs at Brunty too, Yoz you were going pretty well to... until you blew your bloody car up, but f**k it, that's what they are for and what a fun way to do it :D
