More of a question but will add a competiton aswell!

one of my concerns is that after fitting these ITB's that the car is going to be too loud for some of the tracks.

the question is how loud (in db) do you think our track car will be (static noise test)?

mods:
172 engine
Jenvey throttle bodies (90mm trumpets)
Powerflow exhaust (2.5" bore with 3" tailpipe)
decat

give you an idea of max levels at some UK circuits:
croft : 98db max
cadwell : 105db max
oulton : 105db max
goodwood: 98db max

video of car on rollers to give you an idea

Prefer runner up to the swamp monster.

Bet it's not as loud as ben172 exhaust, now that is very loud!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

static it'll be fine, drive by you may have issues on the 98db tracks

ours in metal setup mode was 103-106 drive by depending which way the wind blew, we could mute it down to 100 if needed, but lost a chunk of power

luckily croft dont have drive by db meters (i dont think). They do a static before you start so hopefully will be ok :)

buying a sound meter today so will post the results later.

is a driveby at a certain rpm or at full throttle? what sort of distance away should the reading be taken?
