confused about HU.

will it plug straight into my 172 2002?

also it says its "Steering Remote Control Ready" - does that mean my steering controls will work straight away or will i need another lead?

The headunit will fit straight in.
Try buying it from car audio direct, should be cheaper than buying direct from alpine.

I'm not an expert on HU's but from what i've read on here before you won't be able to use your Renault cd changer if you have one .
Correct me if i'm wrong somebody .

cheers, dont have a cd changer so not bothered about that.

£31.99 for that lead is a bit much!!!!! think i'll just use the HU

£93.99 for the HU on ebay brand new.

The dash display works to an extent, it shows Vol Up and Vol Down I think, and when its idle it just says Alpine. No track numbers and stuff though I'm pretty sure.

i didnt think it was worth it at 1st for steering controls but then i really missed them so ended up buying them. is alot easier 2 change the volume wen ur driving with steering controls

You need that lead aswell as the adapter is a two part thing.
