Bit thanks to steve (wrc) 182 for taking me down the pub and the usual suspects for their words.

  porsche 944 - 80's ftw!
Keep your chin up m8, it sounds like you'll get it repaired (that will never get written off for that damage) by the other drivers insurance and should get a courtesy car till its fixed. The damage wont show up on the hpi either when its fixed.

Could have been a lot worse.

oops

sorry to hear that mate

just to give you an idea, i had to have my rear quarter panel replaced a few years ago on my 172...£1100 inc VAT & labour iirc. i'm not sure how much door skins are though.

Harsh. Brand new door from the scrapper and a few hundred squids on the rear quarter. Good as new. Hell, the door fit might even end up better than the original anyway.

Who brought harry hill along??! ;)

Seriously though, if it were me, forget the whole door skin idea, get a new door. door skins WILL rust from the inside sooner or later, its not worth it.

That sucks mate. At least you weren't hurt and the car will get fixed.

I'll catch up with you for some Crackdown if you are about over the weekend.

At least the TBR sticker is intact.

Erm, it isn't he ripped it off yesterday! lol

Car has now been picked up to be assessed by repairer.
It should be an easy repair. New front wing, door, rear 1/4 panel

Luckily it's all cosmetic, the car itself has not been bent. Just panel damage, and a small chunk out of the front rim/tyre.

Iain's currently on the M1 heading for Brum at 5mph. lol

Hope it will be done in a week's time and good as new.
