cup or sport

i have been looking at the specs for both the 182 sport and the cup and thers not much in it apart from the price, cup £11,199 sport 11,699 i think the only big differance is the leather seats and the alloys as they look real good with artic blue so can anyone tell me if there is a differance in the way they drive i would like to get the sport with the cup handaling pak but i am on a tight buget but if it dont make that much differance ill just settle for the standard sport

they will drive the same providing you get the cup pack on the non cup version. basically its down to if you can afford and want the leather/altantara, full climate instead of just aircon and the xenon lights that the 182 offers over the cheaper cup version.

Both cars are superb, and drive esssentially the same, get whichever one suits your budget/needs best. Keep in mind that you can get some amazing bargains on both cars right now. Dealers seem to be giving the Cup packs away like candy. if the leather is important Id seek out out a bargain on the 182 with Cup packs. If leather isnt important then look at a bargain Cup.

The extra kit on the standard 182 doesnt work properly anyway by all accounts ;) *runs*

PS. I have never driven a non-cup/cupped 182, so cannot comment on the non-cup suspension car.

There have been very few problems with the xenons or climate control actually ;)

Just a shame about the rest eh?

i really want the 182 with the cup pak but i just cant strech my cash that far how much of a differance to the handaling does the cup pak make coz thats all im interested in i know its lower and stiffer but whats the driving expireance like compaird with the standard one

Roys always looking for an arguement take no notice.
basically if you want the nicer interior and xenons/climate etc then get the 182 but definately get the cup packs youd be a fool not to. if you arent bothered then get the cup. its worth bearing in mind that you can only get the cup in racing blue and inferno, whether thats an issue to you or not i dont know.

Thats good advise, although its a bit gay having a cloth rear bench and recaro fronts isnt it? Thats on both cars too.

Not at all mate, I was actually being impartial and offering my opinion, with a little dig thrown in for humour cos I knew people like you would bite. Touchy?

ive never driven a non cupped 182 but those that have driven both all say its a must have, add that to the fact that most people spec it and you may find the car doesnt hold its value as well or is harder to sell when you come to get rid if it hasnt got the cup packs specced as pretty much all the 182s ive seen have them.

its a really nice drive, slightly bumpy but no problems, you have to get both cup packs, TBH you would be a little silly not too

nah should have put a smilie in, lol
never heard anyone have issues with their climate in any model (apart from those who have had a build up of bacteria in the heater box which happens on any car that doesnt have the A/C unsed on a regular basis) and only ever heard of one problem with the xenons on a 172. so any other problems that the car will suffer are the same for both 182 and the cup.

I was actually meaing the wipers which I kind of like using when its raining ;) Thats a rare problem though so I was only kidding.

182 Cup, or Cupped 182...who cares? they are both fantastic cars and we are all enthusiasts or we wouldnt be sat at a PC debating it with strangers :D

HOWEVER, as the OP has already said, he is on a tight budget. I think its worth looking for a good price on a Cup IF leather isnt important to him.

i was swaying towards a cup but now its down to the color mmmmmm i think the blue is too blue and the inferno im not sure i will have to go down the delers and have a look i was set on artic blue, how much can you get the cup paks for on top of the price

Thats a good point, the Cup only comes in 2 colours, which could also be a major factor in choosing a Cupped 182, which has a much better choice of colours.

cup packs should be £350 (£200 for susp. and £150 for spoilers) but i think youll be able to haggle them down to being free. Just walk in with cash and a quote from an online dealer with both cup packs and demand that he meets the price. Be prepared to walk out on them because theyll come crawling back.

after some hard thinking and blowing up my calculator and trying to find things to sell including the cat i have decided to buy a used 182 as i just cant afford a new one, big bummer !!! but there are a few good ones in the for sale section and i have made some inqueries and its looking good provided i can sell my car within the next couple of weeks its a bummer after you have been doing lots of over time and drinking less in order to buy your four wheeled bundle of fun
