OK I might have done a buy. Mega f**king excited!

There are a few things I need to get welded and Ive always always allllllways wanted to get stuck in and learn properly.

Did man maths and this would come In handy for things later down the line.

Need my cage plates welding in
Scuttle panel holes welding up

Got my other door card on yesterday. The pull strap is attached now too using an m10 caphead bolt with a big ol' waher behind it to spread the load as the metal is fairly flimsy behind there.

Also received some aerocatches in the post for an absolute bargain so they'll be going on the boot and i'm going to cut out the metal and locking mechanism etc

Last night I wired up all the connectors with spade terminals, also sourced ignition feeds for my windows, blower, heater etc. It's all coming together slowly but tonight I should have it all working

Fitted new subframes from @JP83 too as I had the extra low ones but stupidly they were too low without runners so I actually put 4kg of metal in them to raise me up! counter productive but makes sense now.

Should have more pics tonight and im picking up the welder tomorrow! Can't wait.

Good work bud. [emoji41] [emoji106]

The only thing I would have done differently is to use counter sunk or mushroom headed bolts.
This would have given a nicer looking finish than the cap headed bolts that you have used.

All imo of course. [emoji2]

You won't get a very good earth through that trainer bud.

And try to find a cheap light active mask if you can, makes welding so much better and you can see what your doing which I find helps. [emoji23]

Most understanding girlfriend ever?

Haha yeah she's awesome man! Always helping and very supportive of my hobbies.

She's a bit of a lad too as the guys who we went on the clio Road trip with will testify!

Just read through this from page 48 (ish) onwards! Some really good progress and I'm glad you've had the balls to strip it as much as you have.

Will be watching this thread for sure! Nice to see another Arctic with black 1.2's too

Thank you mate! Appreciate that comment.

I've just had a stupid moment.

My doors auto lock if I dont open them, because one of my sensors is dead I think. I opened my boot first just now, put my keys in it AND my phone. Shut the boot and... LOCK

Both items locked in. Luckily my bro in law is on the way with my spare key, should be here any moment.

The most ironic thing is that I was outside fitting these....
