Donnington on Good Friday

  172 Cup SOLD
Four of us went to Donnington last Friday, I’ve had the Cup coming up 18 months now and it was my first track outing with her, I’m hooked now and can’t wait to get back ASAP, just need to sort my scrubbing issues out….had the Coilovers setup at Mark Fish but on a couple of the corners I found I was scrubbing quite hard.

Nice photo's. The rubbing will be the inner arch liner. Nothing a set of cutters won't sort out. Bend the bracket out of the way as well.

Yeah it is that...i've created a nice matching pair of holes in each arch!

I can see the bolt and plate as well, I take it just to bend the plate back on itself and leave the bolt

Yeah i was there in the black mk2 172 on friday, was going to come and chat to you guys but i was stuck chatting to my neighbour and his mates with the 4 ctrs and s2000. First time i have tracked the clio and was impressed with the handling and i did 6 sessions with out to much grief except the tyres were fooked! Where did you get the photos from?

  Glacier White 197 Cup

  Clio
nice 1 dan looks like you had a good day, which donnington did you use because some photos look like the short track but on one it looks like you are doing the long one?

cheers, Mike

What was quickest round the track, cup or trophy :D

both our first trackday, on the day the trophy was faster.

The adjustable dampers do help:)

both had a great time tho, thats the main thing. Im sure dan will be giving me more of a run for my money in a month or 2 eh dan ;)

You can spent 700 quid on a set of coilovers but you be better spending your money on a set of track tyres cause thats what makes the difference.
Any way thought the black mk2 172 was the fastest clio there!? Thats just lowered on apex springs and the rest is completley standard. Have done donnigton five times though.

  172 Cup SOLD
You were alpping very quickly dude, i was suprised how well you knew the track!

Out of trophy vs cup, trophy was better....my car's scrubbing hard on the front at the mo and caused some minor issues.

Looking to get quite a few more sessions done this year

  182 Trophy & Megabusa
was going to say that you were fast. By the end of the day my pace was much faster, getting to know the car and circuit. I kept clicking up the damper firmness too and was at 37/40 by the end of the day rather than 20 as standard at the start of the day...now that handles!!!
