Dr Jekyll's Ph1 172 Progress Thread

I agree that it isnt low enough to pull off the wheels being pretty much flush, looks good as it is though!

As you can see in the picture mine are sitting virtually flush with the wing, unsure how low mine is in comparison to your springs.

  Many.
I had best get a workshop sorted before you go any lower, another 10mm and you'll be needing to remove the front bumper before entering my drive lol

Looks good!

I'd try bashing that front wheel straighter, then balanced. Or get the spare refurbed and chuck that on there.

Maybe we'll have a go sat? It'll get balanced once the shims are fitted anyway. Tbh the full set of wheels need a refurb but that will done later in the year/next year.

I wouldn't be changing the height on mine, considering spacers now though. The 25 look daft on sportlines IMO. This has really got me thinking

Agree mate. I'll get some more pics up for you mate when i get a mo.

  Audi A5
shame about the wheel Mark, I'd just unbuckle it as best you can with a mallet, balance it and then put on the back and put your straightest two on the front. it'll be alright.

@Bobby. I think that's the best plan bobby mate. Will give it a go on sat. Luckily enough all tyres have pretty much the same tread all round and aren't rotational.

@The Russian. It's a genuine Renault one from Renault Wolverhampton Jacob. I believe its the redesigned one that is stronger and less prone to sagging.

Centre exhaust mount - 7700424341 - £6.00

Delivery was £4.50 and came next day.

Got the camber shims fitted today. Much better and less broken looking. Was talking so much that I didn't even pay attention to Alex doing them. He kept calling me over and I kept wandering off  Sorry mate!

Also managed to mallet out the buckled wheel. No vibration through the steering wheel anymore :) I'll get the tracking done soon. I've also ordered some new bulbs for the foglights as they are rather yellow in comparisons to the headlights and I've also ordered some 5000k bulbs for my HID's as I feel they will look more OEM next to the the Cree sidelights.

Only got 1 pic of the rear as my neighbour drove up and I was packed in the road but managed a few pics of the fronts for Djw John and you can see in a few pics how the rear sits now. I'm happy :)

Im having no luck finding the 2.0 16v badges in good condition so I'm going to flatten my current ones down and spray them satin black and put some stickers on that @Ady182 made me. I believe I'm the 1st person to ask for ph1 ones so let's hope it all goes well. It's an alternate option to keep it OEM untill I can find genuine badges in new/mint condition.

It is Dan :( Not sure how though as there is no markings at all on the bumper.

I'll probably try and take a hair dryer to it and heat it up and push it out from the inside. Hopefully that'll remove them.

  A special one.
If you do a group buy for the H&R 20mm front spacers then let me know.
Ill get a pair and sell on my 20mm that i bought from M.A.D.

As ive said before, 25mm is to much

Nice to see you and the new phase 1 yesterday Mark, it drives nice and feels very solid, what with yours, Barry and Robs the competition for Scotts crown is hotting up. :) im looking forward to seeing them all together.

Glad I helped swindle more 20mm spacers purchases ;)

Thanks Ian :) As said, I'm not doing it to better anyone else's, I just enjoy tinkering and will add my own little touch to it :) I got plenty of time lol.

Scotts is on another level. If mine will ever look remotely like he's then i'll be over the moon.

Pictures make it look better tbh! However you'll be able to see the 20mm spacers then jump on that possible group buy!

I must remember to put those door handles in the car!

Mark you are a perfectionist also and your attention to detail is similar to Scotts, it will be mint one day. :approve:

Going to liase with Bobby. later and see whats up with it.

Thanks guys. I think they'll look fairly decent and oem untill I get some genuine mint ones, but that can wait a while.

Has your dogbone gone tits up then Graham? What else has gone wrong?

I thought they were longer? (Goes to have a look now!)

Yeah I think so mate. Pulled away from a junction a bit quick to nip out as it was a bit busy and been vibrating and heavily knocking since :(
End of last month I hit a big pot hole and wheel isn't fixable so had to get the spare on and change tyres over and get tracking done for the second time this year!

They didn't look any longer but was only a quick look as It was pissing down and had to get to work

Hopefully no more bad news Graham.

Regarding the HID's, I couldn't of said it better myself about the HID's. Badges will be on for sat for sure :)

Did you get the exhaust sorted Tom?

Not yet mate. The guy recons I'm going to rip him off when all I want is the money for it to get fixed. Only one garage close to us will do it and it's in Basildon.
If he hasn't paid me the money by tomorrow evening I will tell him to arrange a courier for the exhaust to be picked up and give me a refund
