Coming along nicely there Mark. Look forward to seeing it/you Saturday.

Not yet mate. The guy recons I'm going to rip him off when all I want is the money for it to get fixed. Only one garage close to us will do it and it's in Basildon.
If he hasn't paid me the money by tomorrow evening I will tell him to arrange a courier for the exhaust to be picked up and give me a refund

Whats up with the zorts mate ?

Totally agree Craig. I think they was £36 each!! However like you said they don't sell them anymore. They only sell the ones from the exclusive which are all silver.

These were £5 a set delivered and i already had the wet & dry and lacquer so it was a cheap OEM mod :)

Got a few more bits done/bought this weekend.

5000k HID bulbs have been fitted. One still looks a little blue but I've only turned them on in the daylight so it could be my eyes. I will try again tonight to see for sure.

Took ok it to the Surrey rolling road on sat with the SE/SC lot:

Pretty happy tbh as I wanted 160 upwards. Also while I was there I got a brand new Skoda Fabia splitter off @mattcreed for £10! Can't knock that so thanks Matt. Was nice to meet you mate :)

Also got a few pics with @Timmsy (GAYYY!!)

And lastly after not liking the arch gap I've decided to buy some coilovers. I went with Vmaxx as I had these on my 182 for 2yrs and found them good enough for my needs. I'm no race driver and don't really drive my car hard so I don't warrant spending loads of money on whizzy dizzy ones as these will be fine for me and give me the look I'm after.

Strange how they would still sell the silver exclusive ones when there was less of those made lol, but like you say a cheap OEM mod :)

Just seen the graph that torque looks low 135lbsft ?

  Many.
I'd expect power to be down further if timing was out. I could check it, and you can do it without fitting new caps if you're very careful.

Can you? I've always smashed through the centre of the caps to remove them. Can't see how you could remove them without damaging them.

Not worth saving them, imo. They only cost a few quid, I know marks tight but didn't think he was that tight. ;)

The HID's work fine and look more OEM white next to the Cree's and less pale blue. I'm happy :)

Hopefully get the coilovers fitted next weekend providing they turn up and the weather holds out. Once they are on my Koni's and Sportlines will be up for sale. If anybody is interested then feel free to PM me ;)

Its just a rumour Scott ;)

  Audi A5
The two core plugs are a little under a tenner direct from Renault. Personally I wouldn't worry too much about it though tbh.

No I mean I wouldn't bother checking the timing. If you do check it though I'd definitely say to have a set of plugs spare.

Vmaxx coilovers by Dr-Jekyll, on Flickr

These are an updated version to my old ones as the hats and adjusters are black where as they were blue on my old set and I prefer these. Also I still have too much camber on the rear which I've decided I don't like. I'm not sure how much negative camber my spacers were but they was not -1 degree! Even with my -1 degree shims reversed im still not happy and I think it will be more noticeable when its lower. Luckily enough Alex has some 10mm no cambers ones on he's rep and would like a bit of camber to stop he's rubbing so we're doing a swap! Hopefully I'll be happy then ;) lol (I know @rs 1an will be ;))

Im also thinking of putting in the original head unit for a bit of retro-ness providing I can get the right connectors. I had a look to see if I could fit my foglight bulbs on my lunch break today but the arch liner needs to be removed to do so, however it felt like my horn was loose and just hanging down. Can't really tell so I'll be looking at these this weekend.

Where did you pick up the Coilovers dude? i noticed that POTN do them for around £350?

Still think you should stick with some camber on the rear, looked ok to me ;)

Original HU is the way forward! also thinking about doing the same, although want a ph2 cd player item in mine and hopefully connect it upto the cd changer too. think it would work?

I got them off a company fairly local to me but off there eBay site (Rudie Mods ) The company is shocking but they were the cheapest around and being local-ish I can just pop down there if I'm not happy with them. I paid £357 iirc.

I want no camber on rear to make it look more OEM.

ICE is not really my genre Graham so I'm the wrong person to ask
really but what I do know is that your putting way to much Ph2 parts on your Ph1! :rasp: Cup spoiler and rear lights (even though I'm 50/50 on this) should be all.

More work for me this weekend! I kidd, hopefully it'll be a good, productive day!

I liked the ever so slight camber, so hopefully it'll look good on my car.

We'll have to slam it ;)

You'll deffo want the tracking doing ASAP afterwards too, as it'll be quite far out. and might want the front camber checking as its adjustable on those by the looks.

Edit... I'll bring those Ph2 rear lights with me, and glue them on, so you can't ever remove them :p Also, Keep your head unit!

Hopefully the weather will hold up. As soon as it's all on I'll get it all aligned and tracking done. I'll see what the garage near my work has, as before I went to Stortford Performance and got it done on there hunter system and they were pretty decent. If the garage near me had the same system then I'll go there instead as I can leave it there and pick it up after work. Need to get the wheels balanced too.

Yes these have camber adjustability. I'm still 50/50 on the lights tbh. Will get you to bring the boot light though. However I'm swaying more to having the OE head unit in

I could get an old skool one in there ;)

Its perfect mate.

Result! I didn't even think of that! I know on the ph2's it had to be removed from behind the bumper, but I'm still learning on the ph1  I shall do that tomorrow then :)
