Driveshafts 172/182 same?

As above , wondering if the driveshafts across the 172/182 are the same. My brother has just picked up a cheap clio and I think the driveshafts are shagged ( not definite yet, gotta have a look at weekend ) .Its a standard 51 reg 172,abs air con etc. There's a set in the classifieds off a 182 going cheap and I'm hoping they'll fit.

In short no! Going by genuine parts:-

On the Phase 1 there is only one type.

On phase 2 it's a bit more involved as the 172 without Cup add-ons are one type then the 172 Cup is a second. The 182 non-Cup is a third and i believe the 182 Cup packed vehicles makes a fourth.
