Can't remember the last one I saw tbh. A mate is getting one in jan/feb so will see what all the fuss is about

We have 4 on camp at the mo. 1 white, 2 blue and 1 Molten orange. Molten is deffo the nicest color.

Can hardly tell the difference between my friends orange and my red 99% of the time.

When the sun hits it though, its very nice. Almost as nice as liquid yellow, but not quite ;-)

I absolutely love these but as said, there are just too many of them around that I wouldn't feel special owning one which is what I should feel with it being a sporty car. It might not make sense but to me a hot hatch should be something that you rarely see on the road, and when you do it turns heads. Hope that doesn't sound too ridiculous.

Well said.

Its the main reason I didn't buy one and chose a 200 EDC. Glad I did. I'm still yet to see another on the road!

That's mad.
You don't buy a hatchback to be different, you buy it because it's a practical car that's still cheap and can put a smile on your face.

You want rare/special you buy a TVR/Lotus etc

Your right, you don't buy a hatchback to be different.

You buy a hot hatchback to be different. You want the practicality of a hatchback, but you want it to look a bit special and be faster. IMO, the fiesta ST only ticks the latter box. Again, I'm not denying its a very good car, but damn its common.

It's a popular car for a reason, well two...

1) it's bloody brilliant
2) it's bloody cheap

Both valid reasons for having one. As already said, want unique; buy a lotus.

I see more Golf Rs than STs by the way.

I see loads round my way and I live in the middle of no where, they look decent enough but I'm glad I turbo'd the Clio instead.

That's because beneath the orange flake top coat they're both the same flat red. Agreed though. £725 for one blow over with glitter, I must have been mad.

As for rarity? A hatchback, hot or otherwise, should be an everyday car and not some rarely seen prized possession. They're shopping cars ffs.

You get such a hostile erection for the ST, cute.

Got to admit, there is absolutely nothing I like about the car visually...

That said, the feedback on how it drives it perhaps more important! - No doubt a hoot!

Its a good drive don't get me wrong although I'd say its a tad over-rated/hyped.

I think the rides to hard, my 182 was faster (imo) on a b-road because it was softer.

I find it similar to my non-cupped 200 - makes progress on the broken country roads I pound along every day just as well as that did.

At low speed I do find it really choppy but once up to speed I think it smooths out and works nicely.

182 will always feel quicker. Very much doubt it actually is. Didn't enjoy the fiesta, but it's definitely more capable than a 1*2.

I agree. I honestly feel like I can cover ground quicker than I ever could in a 182. But then it's over ten years newer. It's bound to be better!

Interesting, especially from an ST owner!

Why would you say it was over-rated / hyped out of interest mate? (P.s I'm not an ST owner)

For me personally I find the car often gives me understeer or oversteer too easily. In this day and age, whilst a lot of people think oversteer is 'cool', I find it leads to a nervous drive on public roads - I doubt the standard Bridgestone's help... I don't feel they are a performance tyre at all IMO. (I had exactly the same tyre from factory on a 1.6 120bhp DS3)

The whole 180/200bhp thing is frustrating, I genuinely believe at times the car has more power than others (When foot planted)

The Recaro seats... Look great, heat up stupidly quick... but for me (5'8), if not sat in specific place.. I can get uncomfortable after some time (No real adjustments on them).

Ford Sync - Its frustratingly slow and tbh, not all that 'helpful' - Pointless. Bluetooth at times just does not connect and the sound quality can at times vary from good to shite depending on how fast I'm going (Yes..you read that right) - Sat Nav is very good though.

Tyre pressure sensors, whilst s**t on most models of cars these days have needed baby sitting in the last 2 weeks.

Interesting I've had no issues with Bluetooth quality or tyre pressure sensors.

I've never used the ford sync though
