engine power/alternator belt

ok so driving home this evening my battery and stop lights come on in the car. get home safe as i was a metre down the road anyways.

looked under bonnet and belt connecting engine and alternator is nowhere to be seen. presuming it has worn out and snapped as knew it was starting to go.

simply asking how much, how long etc etc?

any help much appreciated.

cheers,

jamie

belts about 10/15 quid, and it would take a blind man one with one arm using nothing but his little toe 10 minutes to change (with 2 tea breaks)

ok good, so if i get charged 40 quid im being done is what your saying!!

cheers, p.s its for a 1,2 16v pre 04 engine swap around etc etc

that still the right price then ditz mate?

50 quid tops imo.. half hour labour max dependant on where you go (would be £23 at our place) and about 15 for the belt plus vat

thats garage prices (as many say half hour minimum charge)...

but i'd say do it yourself its literally that simple anyone could do it
