You've got it right 225 is the diagnostic socket (OBD), 502 is the powersteering multiplug. On the OBD there is only one (or two I forget) which goes into the diagnostic plug but on the wiring diagram you should be able to see a junction where multiple wires join into this wire further up, creating the multiplex network.

HK7 is just the code renault have given that wire - HK7 links to the wire description.

Hi all. Just been reading this thread, I currently have hpas and there is a slight weep on the hose. Now I have sourced an epas column and was looking to get it to carry out the conversion but I have been out off with people saying the wheel does not snap back to centre it has to be fed back.
My question is how noticeable is this? And has anyone who has carried out the epas conversion run it with a quaife diff fitted? If so how does it feel? I love the weight of the steering how it is at the moment. But I'm consious from a reliability standpoint epas is much safer on track.

on the road the lack of centring is annoying tbh but on track it's not noticeable at all for me......but, I wish I'd stayed Hpas, the electric just doesn't feel as good imo

Big bump.
Am looking at this for my 182 track only car, I've tried to get the brackets from the guides part numbers and can't get any from anywhere. I ideally only want the alternator and the water pump on the auxiliary side with simple belt adjustment. How else could I do this? I've got cadwell on the 6th and am struggling at the minute with ideas. Any help appreciated

Is there anywhere the I can buy the lot from? as far as I can see there getting them all separately would mean I would have to trust ten different websites for each bit and would probably be let down on most

I would try and buy them second hand and although this has now sold, this is what you'd be looking for https://www.cliosport.net/threads/cup-alternator-setup.818131/

Paul Temperton or https://www.cliosport.net/forums/renault-parts-direct-official-parts-supplier.258/ Same guy but different guise!

  dan's cast offs.
get an upper bracket and then a turnbuckle for an adjuster.

Looks like there as rare as hens teeth, will put a wanted add on here and on facebook. Struggling to find a full column as well, can only find the top part. Presume this is the magic electric kit I need https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RENAULT-...433245?hash=item3d0c10cf1d:g:puwAAOSwg55Zda1g. The turnbuckle kit looks ideal, I'm guessing still needs a cup alternator and is it these https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/M8-Turnbuckle-Kit-Adjustment-110mm-Upwards-Lock-Nuts-Choose-Rod-Ends-to-Suit/162075173604?_trkparms=aid=888007&algo=DISC.MBE&ao=1&asc=49129&meid=5f6677f669d84f558ec0a34e058907aa&pid=100009&rk=1&rkt=1&sd=182156759607&itm=162075173604&_trksid=p2047675.c100009.m1982. Is yours m10 or m8. Appreciate the replies, just trying to with up all of my options.

Hi, I'm doing Epas conversion on my 172. I have a little problem: the lower part of the EPAS column is about 1" shorter than the same part on the HPAS column.
Also, the lower part of the HPAS column can't be separate from the top part because there isn't the allen bolt as in the EPAS column.
Did anybody face this issue while doing the conversion?
Is there a longer lower column I can purchase?

yes, LHD. In Italy we drive on the wrong side of the road ?

I'm facing the problem on the car, I mean the electric column is on, the bottom column is tightened on the pinion, and I can't match the two parts of the column under the dashboard ?because of that inch.

Which part number is the RHD steering column? I'm pretty sure it can be fit on a LHD car.

I think I understand the problem: my upper steering column is, correctly, from a ph2 car. It came without the bottom part (universal joint) when I bought it.
The bottom part is from a ph1 car (aleready laying around in my warehouse). In fact, they are also different where they join the pinion of the steering rack.

For reference regarding the turnbuckle, the distance between alternator and block holes when belt is at a decent tension is 190mm. This equates to a 120mm turnbuckle from mcgill motorsport om ebay to give a decent range.
I tried their shortest at 70mm before starting the job and nowhere near, went for a 100mm which works but not enough thread left my liking for strength so going for the 120mm to be safe

Anyone bought a brand new dci rack recently? Just wondered if anyone knew who was cheapest for them at the minute to save me ringing around?
