Experimentally Plain

Decided it was time to 'de-dealership' the car, seeing as it's covered in their name.
Also experimented with a smaller front plate (200 first?). I think it looks pretty good.

Nice. Where did you get the plates from they look decent and i could do with loosing my dealer plates to be honest. I think Richard1 has had his fair share of advertising curtosy of my 6 months driving with them on :)

^ Haha. I got this from fancyplates. Following my new smaller trend ;) ?
I still need to sort out a rear, but im going to my local autofactors on Monday for that, as I just want a standard one and I get them cheap there.

Your other thread is brilliant. 'will look s**t' 'no point' 'don't do it'

Total opposite to this and shows how wrong they are :approve:

Haterz gon' hate... Hopefully start off a new trend!

Posted another controversial question in there about the rear plate, although even im not sure about that. I kinda knew that a smaller plate would look good on the front! ;)

My logic is that a front plate.. If the 5-0 see it, they have turn around and make an effort to come after you. Unless they see you go by.

But a rear plate, they can easily be following and that gives them a reason to pull you over etc. I'd get rid of the dealer crap on the rear though.

Good point tbh. I was thinking of maybe doing the rear about 1cm smaller, but try to get one with the BS number etc on aswell. See what you mean though. Regardless, ill be getting another one sorted without the dealership name being all over it.
The ones at my local place does them for about £9-10 and has "Show Plates" written on the bottom, so atleast im not directly advertising a company either (the shops name is "Independant Motor Factors").
Example of my old 172 rear plate:

I friggin' hate it when you see the screws. Does my nut in. Clean and smooth ftw ;)

EDIT:

Spotted this in the other thread:
101mm is the minimum height that is still legal (i.e. 79mm characters with 11mm border above and below)
So I can take 1cm off the height of the rear plate and still keeping it legal. Ill have to look into that.
