FAO people who know their clio brakes !!

  RenaultSport clio 172 mk2
Hiya,

For the saxo vtr vts and 106 gti and quicky i do brake upgrades to a 266mm conversion, its going well as the said standard brakes are crap --

ive just got myself a clio 172 cup and am looking to further my product range, is it possible that the 172 cup caliper (im presuming the 172/182 caliper is the same) will bolt directly onto the 1.2 and 1.4 clio (mk2)

also could anyone tell me what other vehicles the 172 caliper is on ? vans etc

as many of my conversion calipers i get for the saxo's and pugs are off berlingo vans !! -

The 172/182 caliper won't bolt on the hubs are different on the 172 against the none Renault sport cars. You cna make them fit with spacers brakets but its not worth it.
The best upgrade is better calipers IMO. However there expensive.

The 172 caliper is used on the Cup/Torphy 182 and some Megans.

Berlingo vans will use the none RS calipers as they arn't bad there fine for most use. they were fitted to the Williams so they must have been ok for 150hp.

If you want to upgrade the bst value it to change the pads for DS2500 there fine even for hard track use.
