  Shit little Yaris...
Mine's just an ST.

They come with 200bhp from Ford so if you do need to put a power figure on it for differentiation, it's an ST200.

Calling it an ST180 is like calling a Clio 182 a Clio 150.

I always thought it was as a type of code if you like lol. That makes the Focus ST225 and Fiesta ST150 redundant too then?

Straight line... Current ST Fiesta > 182 > 172 > MK6 Fiesta ST

Bendies... Current ST Fiesta > 182 > 172 > MK6 Fiesta ST

Thank you and good night lol

(There - Better? :p)

I once beat my brother home when he was driving his company car... See my clio is at the front of the drive and he is parked behind as I got home first.

My Old Man in his 1.2 came in joint second.

There is always someone faster / stupider than you so what's the point*

*I'm getting old.

Both new and old ST's are s**t imo. I will say my clio is massivley better all rounder than both.

I joined CS to read and discuss stuff about clios! Either sod it off in another more appropriate section or actually is there not a forum for them??

This place needs re-naming lol.

Oh and i can eat , leave for dead and tear a new arsehole in any ST because my timing was done by a non CS specialist:rasp:

Totally agreed. Theres far to many non clio owners on this forum

Taking that statement to its ultimate conclusion, you're implying that non-Clio owners shouldn't be allowed to use the forum.

Good luck with that. There would be about two interesting threads per month.

I loved my old 182 with its rs2 manifold and yozza but I had nothing but troubles with it.
Bought a 10 month old fiesta st2 a few months ago and personally I find it better in every way than my 182 was.
I'd have had a new RS Clio if it was 3 door, had a manual gearbox and if I'd thought Renault quality had improved at all, (as all my previous cars had been more reliable than the 182 had been)

I think the fact there are so many non Clios here shows Renault have dropped the ball with the UK market.
IMO the new Fiesta ST is the current 182.

you don't need to justify it in such detail. They're just in denial that the new st is the better car. Much like they were when the 197 and 200 came out to succeed the 182.

They'll come round, as they always do. Give it a few years and they'll accept it's better as they did with the mk3 clios

...the 200t however had ruined the renaultsport clio (ahem, "Clio RS") for generations to come.

Interesting to who though?

Personally the threads on here I find most interesting are already the ones about clios, and I would imagine the same is true of Kyle who you just replied to, they are the reason I joined and stay on the forum, and the number of those threads wouldnt be effected.

I dont think it matters if people have a clio or not though these days, so long as they have a real interest in clios and talking about them, I see quite a few people sell their clio then hang around chatting about them and then eventually get another one, so there is no reason at all for those people not to be here, just the ones who seem to want to be on a clio forum without any interest in clios that probably the forum would be improved without, as lets face it no one googles "things I dont like" to find cliosport, they google "my heaters only blow hot not cold" or similar.

But anyway the rules dont say you have to like or own or care about clios, so there is therefore no legitimate reason to get rid of those people for it even though for some of us a more clio-focussed forum would actually be more appealing if that did happen.

What's the next benchmark for 1*2s going to be, I beat a 2015 type r?
They are old cars now it's not going to keep up with these new turbo charged hatches where massive power increases are just a map away. As nice as the ST is I'd rather 8/10ths of the performance for 2/10ths the cost

Ive tracked the 200t a couple of times now and can really see the appeal in them and I like the gearbox even, my only reason for not getting one really is cost, I think thats the only thing renault got wrong, although if you look at a vxr clubsport corsa etc they arent really much different anyway price point wise.

Although I doubt I will ever think its better like you are saying, but then I havent really with the mk3 either, although I do like them, just not as much as mk1 and mk2 ones.

well yes kind off
You wouldn't find all this s**t on the ford RS owners clubs forums would you?

The reason people stay on this forum is because of the atmosphere but there are far to many people on this forum who have no intrest in clios what so ever!!

That doesn't even make any sense IMO.

Now you're implying that the atmosphere on here is solely created by Clio owners?

Dont you miss the power or the handling at all?

Handling yes power no don't take much to make the 1.8t quicker than the 182. I found the clio ungrateful compared spend money for 0 gains with the golf the gains are great it appreciates you so much more

It makes sense that the atmosphere is created by diverse tastes, but you would like all non-Clio owners banned? Right. I'm out of this one. It'll be locked soon anyway.

So it doesn't make sense at all then. Are you drunk?

It makes perfect sense that having a shared interest like clios can help create a feeling of comradery, and that therefore people who seem to have a specific dislike of that interest, or even just simply no longer share that interest, will have a negative effect on that that comradery derived partly from that common interest.

I am of the opinion that makes sense whether you personally understand it or not.

Yes but you don't see on the RS owners club forum how great Clio's are. They would simply laugh at you

The matter of the fact is that there are to many people on this forum that have no intrest in clios what so ever. One being yourself
