In 2002 I bought a lovely 1.2 Dynamique, I loved it, it did me proud, (until the day another car ran me off the road and it was written off) but I ALWAYS wanted a 172......
In the meantime I have had a Primera GT, a Mini Equinox, a Suzuki Jimny, a Mini Cooper S (new one) and a Nissan Note diesel.....(never mind the company car inbetween)..........

So, fast forward to today, and I bought:

WOOOOHOOOOOO!!!!!

All being well I pick it up on Thursday. Finally, a Renaultsport, abuot time

Suziki Jimmy? My mum had one of them and she reckoned it was the best car she'd ever driven lol.

You'll love it.. Had mine just over a week now and its an epic car.. Bit on the thirsty side though compared to my 182 but never the less the 197 is a cracking car

Jimny was jaw droppingly good offroad, but scarily poor on road....


mpg is gonna hurt, the Note does 53mpg round the doors, who cares, you have to pay to play

I filled up yesterday with the good 'ol Shell Ferrari fuel lol, Getting 23mpg according to the trip computer but then again i work in London so its a lot of stop start.. Good lil motors though

erm, dunno how the babbageil bit got there? Meant to say:

23mpg for town use, 23mpg for mway use, 23mpg for country road use, 23mpg for sitting on the drive even (;)), 11mpg for track :)

they drink, it hurts :(

Anything will do more than my cooper a did, 7mpg on track, 20 tops on road.

It's gonna hurt going from 54mpg to 25 though. Still got the diesel veccy for long runs.

Strangely I checked the computer on the test drive and it was showing 31mpg, but average speed was 45, so probably been on dual carriageways a lot?

YELL YEAH, WELL WORTH THE WAIT!!!!


The attention these things attract is awesome. Been out for 5hrs tonight, love it. (strange I get 28mpg and I ain't been hanging about either, woohoo)

I managed 11mpg last week and have had 6 on track, oh well you have to love the driving, just tap over the top 3/4 of the fuel gauge so you dont watch it go down
