Fitted Carbon lip spoiler (pic)

  Cupra 300 ST 4drive
Fitted the CF lip and to be quite frank its fit and finish is rubbish, from 20ft away it looks spot on but its not the same length as the original renault, the profile is different so you end up having to bend it to keep it in profile with the bumper and the finish of the CF mesh under the resin clear coat is patchy. when this one breaks i'm going back to renaults own. TBQH its not worth 120 quid not even 88 quid i paid. I would'nt give 30 quid for it

its got patches like this all over it, after fitting i was throwing the box it came in out and noticed made in Taiwan on it.

So this isn't a real KTEC one?...fakey then! Where did u buy it from?

Return it and ask for another.

The quality of it is s**t by the looks of it.

Ring them up, and sort out a replacement.

Mine had a couple of patches on like that, also from Ktec.

I got a pretty good discount though.

if i fit another i'll have to drill another 9 holes in my bumper because lining another up to the new holes i have drilled will be nigh on impossible due to having to bend the lip into the profile. the next one will be the original renault.

i paid £88 delivered and if i honest its not worth half that!

And the Renault one isnt worth £120 odd either.

Mine fitted very well and had just a couple of very small dark patches which werent noticable.

If it bothers you, it would me, id remove it send it back and ask for a refund with compensation.

Isnt there a guy on here selling carbon ones for £90?

Sorry to hear its not as good as you hoped mate...
I need a splitter and i'm not considering the CF one just because i don't like the look...
Got a quote today from Renault and the chepest they could do is £128 all in. Going to see if my mate who works in trade can get it cheaper.
So its either that option, or i get one from a megan scrap or use one from a Leon cupra which some people have done, but i'm not experienced with stuff like this and am wary of the modifications etc, and not sure if my bumper is damaged where part of the original one was ripped off by a verge!..

feel sorry for you there, not good, the patches are large volumes of resin build up where the carbon material hasnt been laminated into the mould properly and is effectively set back behind the resin.

Unfortunately this is a downside to wet lay carbon and third party manufacture outside of the country to blame (I believe ktec products to be manufactured abroad anyhow given timescales etc)

try not to bedisheartened, if you are not happy, return it, you are fully entitled to a refund I am sure and we can offer you a pre preg version which I am very confident you will be happy with the finish and fit as out products are all designed to be OE replacement and able to line up with oe holes in underside of bumper ready to re use the self taps or fresh new ones. Out splitters are extremely strong also as made of pre preg laminate.

many thanks Bic
