Silver or at a push, anthracite. That is all.

I did mine Iceberg silver, which has some fleck in it, but looks quite nice.

Cheers for the feedback all, basically confirms my own thoughts.

Going to order some paint this evening and refresh my originals a nice shade of silver.
As said, the colour match is shocking but worth a look just out of curiosity.

I think it’s very difficult to modify the exterior of the little RS Clio to any real improvement. Renault nailed the styling on these. 🙂

Couldn't agree more. Don't think I've ever seen styling add-ons that really work. Splitters and things usually ruin them too.

I actually really like the colour matched bullets. All I would say is that I think the raised 2.0 16v lettering would be better in anthracite to match the wheels, and breaks it up a little.

Today’s job,

Fit PMS rear spacers and wheel stud/nut kit. Also decided now the suns coming out to get my summer wheels on. Yes they’re doing “driveway durability testing” at the mo. But they have confirmed 100% that I’m done with black wheels. My Turinis will get a colour change at some point.

Forgot to get any pics of the spacers going on, but it looks hard as nails now front out 15mm, rear out 10mm on the 2118s and 888s.

I purchased the same wheels a while ago now,yet to fit them...but after seeing how Good your car looks with them I definitely made the right choice (y).

No Worries glad to be of assistance. We don't set the ride heights on new kits before shipping, hence this set being somewhat low to start! Also loving the spray then bagging the dampers. Protect your investment people!

Stainless ABS brackets arrived. Also arrived were the strut lower lock nuts from @Simon@ASTUK, thank you sir. 👌🏼
Brackets are pukka, but like many of these things, the supplied hardware was s**t. The only stainless M6x12 I had was a countersunk so had to add some panel washers. Quite possibly the most overkill and pretty fastener for an ABS bracket on a Clio but at least they look nice 😅

Lock nuts fitted and brackets on, these completes the damper fit except for geometry.

Theyre covered in ACF50, Dynax in some areas and wear these heavy duty covers so I think I’ve given them the best I can to stay in the best condition.
Just want to be able to get out and try them properly.

So today’s little jobs.

Service parts arrived from RPD so I cracked on with her oil/filter. First time she’s had Castrol rather than the ELF oil. Whilst under the car I saw quite a lot of dispersed oil which I traced as PAS fluid. Close inspection found a crack in the switch housing. So I’ve ordered one of those right away

Also changed the pollen filter which I don’t think has been done at all since I last owned the car. Clearly in a s**t state and well overdue changing.

Also, one of the few upgrades I fitted in my first tenure was stainless steel Goodridge brake hoses. These have been on the car for a good 10 years I suspect, nothing wrong apart from some discolouration but I figured they were due a freshen up. This time opted for Hel stainless steel items.

Wouldn’t have chosen yellow but they came up at a discounted price so too good to pass.

I’ve also found some scrub marks on the NSF where the arch has a domed section in it. The OSF doesn’t have this pressing.
Anyone else encountered this before?

Before I’m asked.

Had a few on my track car. Spray shack, hydro dipped and standard! Not the best pictures, but you get the idea!

Nice, what were your favourites in terms of looks and quality?

I really like the spray shack colour coded ones, had a couple of sets over the years on various Clios. They did the 2.0 16v bit in various colours. I have always kept the standard ones too as easy to swap around.

The hydro dipped ones are good quality, but hard to get the colour match.

Shame they can’t get an exact match for the OEM colour in hydro dip. Really struggling to get some paint to do them at the moment.

Love it Frayz - makes me miss my old one.

I had my Turinis done in a slightly darker anthracite - thought it really made the Inferno paint pop:

Lovely. They look almost black in those photos.

Lock In day 437 and reason 56732 why the neighbours think I’m mental.
First job was to bleed the brakes after the lose swap yesterday. So that was just a top up of Motul RBF600 as I had flushed and replaced the fluid over the new year.

Then I dropped the front off WZD to swap the rad. The new coolant bottle is still yet to arrive but I thought I’d get stuck in anyway.

Bumper off, crossmember off, lamps out, etc. Coolant was fresh last year anyway so that was nice and clean. However the AC condenser was in pretty poor shape at the bottom. It’s not leaking but the bottom row has corroded away on one side.
So that will have to be replaced now too.

The old rad was actually in pretty good shape, but it’s still 15 years old now so worth a refresh.
The brown isn’t dirt, it’s Dynax from where I had protected it previously. However I still gave all areas a good clean, another coat of Hydrate 80 in various areas and further coats of Dynax.

Hopefully the new coolant bottle will be here soon and I can finish this job off.

Nice and fresh looking!

Your plastics looks really nice and black as well, are they new or have you treated them with something?

Top work mate. I wish the dynax was a different colour but apparently it was originally designed for fishing boats! So they had it brown to be visible after application

Ah they’re just wearing a 1:5 mix of CarPro Perl

Probably much easier to apply than a coating.. How long does it last?

Got no experience with PERL, just reading about it now and it can be used in the window rubber seals as well?

it’s water based so not hardy if it gets wet until it’ had time to dry. But after lots of applications the plastic seems to absorb the product and it lasts longer and longer.
its a long way from any coating, but it’s a very versatile product that finishes well
