they were gash on my vts. so much so they came straight off and got replaced with koni adjustables. handling was crashy and unpredictable. used to bounce under braking.

106 comes with the rear torsion bar, IIRC. I had a gmax spring/strut set up on my old 206. It depends what you want it for. Don't expect out of this world handeling, but it will be improved slightly. If you going to track it, buy something slightly higher quality and realiable like, a set of billies' or Gaz's. If you want it for looks, then it will more than likely do the job fine. Though mine were very hard, and stiff. but did what i wanted them to do.
How low you going by the way...

and as with anything...You get what you pay for i geuss.

yeah felt like that. i got them cheap and to be honest you only get what you pay for. i hate to think what they would be like with naff tyres on aswell. best place would be to get on a saxo/pug forum and ask whats curently best. seem to remember koni/bilstein combo being rated highly.

yeh they always are i mean my cousin drives like a nutcase at times so im trying to say to go for something more reliable and that makes ur car stick like glue as ive heard gmax arent brilliant... im trying to talk him into getting just a decent set of springs and shocks as coilies i personaly think can be overated at times especialy driving on british roads...

  PH1 iceburg
had em on my 172 for about 4 months, horrible ride really soft and wheels rubbed holes in front wheelarch linings

  Works...kind of...
I had a set of 106 Eibach Sportline's last week he could have had. ;)

Gone now though, but even so. Tell him to get Sportline's or reap the pain (in his back).
