GOOD MORNING ALL !

  peugeot
Well for straters, Hi to you all , just signed up today as i worked for renault when the mk1 172 was launched ( no laughin ! ) and i had a 52 plate 172 cup as my company wheels. over 10 years on i want one for a weekend toy , got roughly 4k i wanted climate cont but 172 lux is to twitchy ( imo ) can i use oem stuff from the 172 cup and transfer it to a lux as the cup just felt more steady ( down to the wider track on the cup i suppose ) look forward to hearing all your comments :approve:

With a 4k budget you will have plenty of choice, Trophys should be within budget.

Welcome along!

Do you really need air con in Britain though?? As said, 4k is lower end Trophy money or top end cup packed 182 money!

Good morning.

The trophy is basically the best mk2 you can get in std form, it has sach damper,(which are the nuts) best spoiler, recaro treadlines seats, an red paint( which turns pink ;) )

if looking into trophy's check to make sure the dampers have been refurbed in their life and with any clio sport check for Cambelt history as their quite a costly job

Cheers mate

I have noticed 182s for sale that mention something about cambelt change including some sort of pulley/coupling change ? do sports have any major issues when it comes to high mileage like say 90k on em ?

As said, it's the dephaser pulley. It's recommended to change them then the belts are done, if that's the case you shouldn't have many issues. Mileage is irrelevant if its been serviced and looked after, loads of 172/182's on here with well over 150K on the clock still going strong.

Good luck with the search and welcome to CS!
