Got my cup at the week end--few questions

first off what i car! it gets so much attention!!!ant talk about a good ride its ace! WHAT A CAR!!!!!!!!! few things have puzzeled me though!

1 does ya cup have a key hole on drivers door? it only has on on passenger side, not that am bothered

2 do u have cup172 badges on ya A pillars, mine dont

3 what color is ya side repeters, mine white, orange in book-not bothered!

4 does ya glove box shut flust with the dash board, starting to irritate me

5 how many miles shuld i run it in for, says in book bout 650

You should have the A pillar badges, they look sh*t though so dont worry about them!

White lenses for 2003 models so your ok.

not sure bout the rest, checked youve got the front spoiler?

1 mine has

2 yes

3 orange - couldnt care less about colour

4 flush-ish

5 various interpretations ranging from "floor it" to run it in gently. Perso opted for former. wait for engine/gearbox oil to warm up nicely though and use precise/light gear change movements. change oils after 1k and again at 5k if you want to be good

see you on the "modifications" threads in a few months (weeks? days?)

oh yeah got the spliter thing , first thing i checked , dosnt look rite without so i checked first.

nar dont want the cup badges, but the key hole thing seems strange , all the mags ave seen it in has em, al have a look at sum pics on here

  Nippy white cup

Although I havent picked mine up yet ( should be in the next week hopefully) Ive gone to look/drool over it. Mine has clear indicators and no drivers lock. Are you happy with it klang m8. Really looking forward to picking it up. Its even worse that Ive see/sat in it but cant have it yet. Waiting for it to get registered as it only came into this country on 2nd of this month!

it really is fab mate, i was in your situation last week, sat an looked at it on tuesday, the rest of week went so slow, but sat came it was well worth the wait! it really is the best car money can buy at the moment! belive me it will look better stil wen u have it in your drive! i can not fault the cup in any way(Exc aircon abs argueement-dont need em) , you will be well pleased

I collected my new cup in April and queried a few of the same things.

1) Apparently 2003 Clio shells dont have drivers door lock as they are EU market cars. (LHD)

Some cars on a 03 plate will have a lock, but that is beacause they were built in 2002 and registered in 2003.

2) It should have Cup 172 badges on B posts so take it back to dealer and query it. (If you really want them)

3) White side repeaters on latest cars.

4) Its a French hatchback, you have to learn to live with ill-fitting interior parts and rattles!!

5) Gradually give it more and more welly while running in. Occassionally give it a good blast, but not too harshe or prolonged, and this will help the running in procedure. Mine has done 1500 miles now and is getting well rapid, cant wait till its rally freed off!

Enjoy Cup ownership!

  Renault Laguna Coupe

Gets a lot better over the first 10,000 miles or so. Throw in a few trackdays and you can speed this process up.

My Cup is 8000 miles old now and you boys have made the right decision, she flies......

Just before anyone asks about the optional extras i.e rollc age etc, do a serach and be prepared for many threads and a sad outcome!

as if you only get a key slot on one door - thats just a shocking way to save money!!

Id say they shouldnt put any on but i think by law and to pass a MOT your suppose to have a physical way to unlock and enter a car, dont quote me on that tho..
