Guess My Repair Bill...

I've got my ph2 172 in the garage today, how much do you think this lot will cost to fit? It's an independant garage, not a main dealer.

- Fit a KTec Stealth exhaust,
- Replace centre exhaust mount (unless one comes with the KTec exhaust (anyone confirm?)),
- Fix and replace right front CV boot.

Any ideas on cost for that lot?

Did you not get a quote to start with?

An old place I used to go to used to say £x-ish, so it'd always be a little bit more and then VAT.

The new place tell me a price and its usually less!

No I didn't get a quote as I know he won't rip me off (famous last words) as it's a friend of the family that owns the garage. He'll be honest and do what needs to be done and he gives the car a good checking over after to see if anything else needs doing soon and warns me about it.

To be honest I'm expecting him to slap the exhaust on for not that much, but a few months ago he said it'd be about £100 to sort the CV boot. I just need to factor in the cost of a centre exhaust mount as I picked up a new rear one for £8 yesterday.

I hope it doesn't rain later as I've got to walk to the garage (about a mile away) to pick it up after work.

I would say no more than £150, incl VAT etc.

That would include a CV boot supply , fitment.

Supply a centre exhaust mount and fit exhaust.
