Gutted ! My RS 182 has a non sport steering wheel ! How gay ?!

Car  Clio 182
Have no idea why or how, but my 54 plate 182 has the non sport steering wheel (presumably same as the dynamique model)

Only noticed due to seeing a few members with the lower steering wheel inserts.

What a pain in the ass of a problem that should never have occurred lol

How much out of pocket do you think I would be to buy a 2nd hand 182 steering wheel and sell the non sport one ?

If it'll mean me pulling my pants down I may just get a Sabelt one instead....

cheers all

Mike

Do you have a Cup model? Racing Blue or Inferno Orange?

If so, those steering wheels were standard!
If not I don't know!

jesus not even the 172 cup had a standard wheel, still had the sport wheel with the insert, talk about cutting back where the 182 isconcerned

Nope lads mine is a Titanium 182 non cup. I thought the cup model was supposed to have less frills than the normal sport model ? mine seems the opposite lol. Pain in the ass seriously

Someone maybe got sick of the melting and swapped it out for a cup/non sport wheel..

My cup has a basic wheel, want to swap it for an FF whee at some point, might end up with a 197/200 wheel or even a Sabelt wheel haha

Do the 197 ones fit easily mate ? Haha yeah I'm watching a sport steering wheel now on ebay, but if its gonna go for £100 upwards ill just buy a Sabelt

id go down the 197/200 wheel route as the standard 172/182/dynamique wheels are huge, if i wanted a massive wheel id rather have the dynamique one that didnt melt anyway! well does still melt but doesnt have thumb grips to burst!

Didnt know if the 197/200 ones were a straight fit or not mate? they do look really smart though. I agree the normal clio wheels are huge but I have kind of got used to it. As I say though if were talking silly money to get a standard Renault wheel from a 197 or 182, ill probably go for the Sabelt and then just put a normal wheel on when I come to sell the car ?

Yeah direct fit i think, cruise buttons need wired in though iirc... Also they catch a little but apparently goes after a while...

Hmmm ill watch a couple of sport ones, if I cant find a bargain ill just get a Sabelt one. (Suppose at least its forced me into the Sabelt route now haha - the little push i needed)

Thanks for all of the replies

Only thing with the sabelt you loose cruise control unless you rewire some switces

I've never used the cruise control mate, I only do about 3 motorway journeys a month and they are always less than 2 hours drive so its not really needed over such a short distance.I would love to have one of the 197/200 ones but cant justify £166-190 (ebay) on a Renault wheel if im only going to get £50 back for this standard dynamique one.Where is the cheapest place to get the Sabelts from ? Seen theres one for sale on here at the minute but it looks really tatty condition which would just grate at me
