I’ve finally started the underneath stripping back the old stone chipped paint with a wire wheel

Tidied up the rear panel behind the bumper and left it in primer for now

This job is exceptionally tedious and so dirty and dusty it’s horrible under there but I’m making good progress this is on top of where the fuel tank sits under the rear seats

Nice job you are doing. Did you have all that rubbery factory under seal to take off? If so what was best to get that off?

I was quite lucky I think that was all removed when it was new I assume to make it lighter and has been painted underneath

I realised after I posted, that of course it was a cup car and more than likely never had it in the first place.

That’s the hardest bit done now on top of the tank etc

Near side inner arch done now just the “middle” of the car to do now underneath the driver and passenger should be the easiest bit but largest bit

I know exactly how you feel, although I tipped mine on its side...
The great thing is though is this gives you chance to fully inspect the underside and then effectively prolong the life of the shell so much longer...

I did have a spit but I sold it as I thought it was more hassle than just doing it on my back but I’m thinking twice at the moment

Here’s some photos of the finished rear half this is literally the best I can do so don’t judge me too harsh lol used double the paint I was expecting aswell so now I gotta find a bunch more money but I’m pretty happy with how. It looks hopefully it looks just as good when it’s dry and doesn’t all fall off
