HELP PLEASE. 182 turbo problem

hi, i have a 182 turbo

just drove my car home and it wasnt boosting and the dump valve was silent. looked when i got home and the litle horse shoe type locking pin on the actuator arm has come loose and fell off so its seperated. it should just be a case of replacing the locking washer type thing? (sorry for my crap explaining) can i just re-connect it or could this of caused any damage or does it have to be setup properly? drove about 8 miles with it apart.

You will need to pull the actuator arm over the wastegate arm as it's spring loaded, then buy a new retaining clip, shouldn't have fallen off though.

so i can just re-connect it then and it wont of caused any problem? its been removed a few times by efi-parts to adjust the actuator and put an stronger spring in so i think the clips weakened. looked abit loose when i last seen it. just need to order a new c-clip (think thats what its called) thanks for the reply

Yes, the adjustment is set with the nut, so it coming off has changed nothing.
