How the f**k do I get this off??

  Valver
Brake disc on my valver?!?! Last muppet who owned the car must have superglued it on because no way is it coming off, been bashing it from behind with a rubber mallet and it isn't budging :(

Just to check, wheel off, 2 holding screws for disc off, driveshaft nut off, 2 caliper bolts and caliper off... shouldn't it just come off?!

Is there anything I can do to lever it off without damaging the disc? Already broke the handle of a screwdriver trying :(

the hammers will probobly knocked any loose corrosion of so not much else in that sense.
maybe try with a ball pein hammer the ones with the rounded ends and just keep tapping round the disc!

Wd40 and a steel hammer, you'll f**k the disc, but it'll come off

its nothing to do with the previous owner, they all seize on

Don't need it off that bad yet... but I already coated the back of the hub and the holes in WD40 :( Why do they seize on :S

because they get el scorchio, metal expands and contracts with heat

people generally never copper grease the hub when fitting new discs

You say that but it seems every single bolt and nut on the car has been done up to maximum torque some of them are a real joke! When I first got the car had to use a 2m steel pipe just to get the wheel nuts off...

Yeah thats what I keep telling myself...

So how can I get this disc off without hammering it? Isn't that worn so don't wanna wreck it... maybe get the hub off then put it in a vice or something but is gonna be a pain with the disc in the way...

Was going to change the lower ball joint but I think it looks fine so not going to bother, just for future reference really for when I do need to take it off!
