Congrats, looks a good'un. 
And don't worry about the hike up of power too much, everyone goes on about it but it's a very very easy car to drive carefully and get used to - very forgiving. Well, mine is anyway: it's my missus first daily drive since passing her test and she's been fine for over a year now.
As for the tyres, might be worth checking the tracking, just in case it's wearing unevenly?
EDIT: From the pictures you can't really tell whether it's got the silvervisions - I find the orange only really becomes obvious when you're facing the car more head-on.

I thought that too. It may have only had one owner, but lots of drivers....and on track too if it is an ex RUK car. It was certainly registered in the right place. Of course not all cars with that plate were RUK cars.
Fronts tend to last around 12k so 4 new ones at 19k is nothing to worry about.

You forget that the car is blue with white stripes, and then you notice only when you look forward and remind yourself.
Also, get to know where the ESP switch is, the cruise control & speed limiter switch is.
Many a time i have to turn the ESP off for a bit as the car just cuts out when you want to nail it in the wet off a junction.
Its weird, you nail it, the car dies, then your stuck in the path of oncoming cars..

If there was a place that sold new cars that'd done their first 50 miles of life on a track as a play thing, I'd buy from there everytime. It's the only way to get them loosened up.
Usually cars like that never have severe engine problems because they've been bedded in properly.

It could have been registered by Renault UK and used for shows, someones company car or on track days. It might not be the case, it's only the region in which the car was registered that made us think that. The press cars around that time had similar plates, but I'm sure the racing blue 182s were older than a 54 plate.

Unless you can buy a brand new car and abuse it yourself, there's not much you can do to a tight engine at 20k miles, apart from abuse it for another 10k miles. Has taken me 25k miles on my dCi... She's getting there though. More efficient and faster than when I first had it at least.

They run more cars than those. Staff only keep cars for 11k then they get swapped. As I said, it's probably too young to have been used as a press car.
You should be able to tell from the previous owner on the V5 I'd think.
Don't worry about that, just do the usual checks and make sure it's a sound motor.
Cliokhunt, if it were one of the cars used for track days then it would be a bad thing. Thraped from cold every time. The damage they get from each track day is actually pretty high. It costs a lot to run those cars on track. But it wasn't one of those, or I'd have driven it at some point so that's something. lol

The beginning letters of the reg plate are the giveaway that it's an ex renault uk car, they all begin with a H, most start out HN etc etc.

I'm not trying to annoy you or wind you up at all, but i'd get it checked out properly (by someone who knows exactly what they are looking at & looking for) before handing the money over tbh.

I went to see a Mk2 V at Renault Brum a while back. I peeled back the RenaultSport plates, spotted the reg and asked the dealer if it had come from RUK. He confirmed it had. Some are run by staff though, very few of them have seen tracks.
It's a lot of money to hand over so make sure you know exectly what you are getting. Fingers crossed it all comes up clean as it's a lovely car.
