induction coil?

Hi All

For a Mk1 RS 172

There is a three-cable connector plugged onto the induction coil with black, white and red wires.

By any chance does anybody knows which one shows what?

Ground, Signal, Excitation?

earth and 2 triggers - its a wasted spark system so theres a signal for each bank of 2.

I am just trying to get the wideband installed, I am gonna make logs of AFR vs RPM data. For RPM data capture, I have got an MSD Tach Signal GMR Pickup cable. Basically, it clips to a coil pack’s voltage wire to produce a common 12-volt signal. I need to figure out which cable is ground and voltage wire.
