isurance on a 1.4 mark 1phase 3 sport

hi boys i was wodering could i insure this as a rt as it is a rt lump becouse iv looked on the insurance qoutes and my model the mark 1 phase 3 sport was only made up till 1997 but mines a 1998 model im a bit confused whith it all what should i insure it as a rt or my model but upto the yr 1997 or anything else

plus have any of you had the car or a rt at the age of 17-18 and whats the isurace like i had a qoute cheapest i found for a rt was 1.9k

No its a sport, not an RT, you have to give them the reg number. From that they can tell what type of car it is and if you dont give them the reg you cant inusure it lol. Besides if you need to claim they will void your policy.

The car was made in 97 but most likely registered in 98!

My best online quote was 2000 online, got pass pluss and phoned around and got it for 1100!
