My new Fabia splitter came last week and was swiftly fitted, as the old one was a bit worse for wear.
I've trimmed it down so it doesn't catch the wheels on full lock but it still needs trimming to sit flush with the end of the bumper.

It wasn't very noticeable when looking at the car as a whole but it's been bugging me, so it had to go.
Next up the car hit a big milestone in it's life:

A celebratory service will be carried out in the next month as I like to change the oil and filter every 6,000 miles, and it was last done on 95,000.
I also dropped my TPI bolts off with a family friend for him to trim down and managed to go and pick them up in the week. When I went into his workshop I was greeted by this beast:

A 1932 Ford Model A, to which I also offered to give a full clean and machine polish in the Spring/Summer as a thank you for doing the bolts. So I'm looking forward to that (if he takes me up on it)
He took about 2mm off the bolts and this is how they turned out:

I got them fitted yesterday and they're not bottoming out on the hub now and all is good once again.
My xenons also started to play up at the start of the week with the n/s one deciding to give up on me and start glowing a bright pink:

A new pair of 6k ones were ordered and fitted yesterday too. All was good, I thought, until I managed to open the garden gate on to the rear bumper which gave it a great big graze and also a nice crack:

You can see part of the damage the gate caused in the bottom corner, but the whole area is about 10cm across. I'm feeling a bit unlucky and gutted that it turned out as bad as it did, but at least I've learned my lesson regarding parking my car too far back on the drive.
A new one has been ordered and from what I could tell with the pictures looks in very condition. Looking on the bright side, this will also give me a spare number plate light casing that I can hopefully clean up/wet sand and get it a bit clearer than the current one, albeit a more expensive way than just buying a new one.
The weather was nice today and instead of cleaning the car (after the fiasco with the rear bumper) I decided to go out for a spirited drive around some local B roads and then on to some country lane exploration.

The car drove spot and felt nice and tight, however the brakes didn't feel the sharpest. I checked when I got home and there isn't much meat left on the pads so soon I will be buying some Brembo HC discs, OE pads and some ATE Super Blue fluid. I was debating on whether to get some Mintex M1144 but as 90% of the car's life is going to and from work, I didn't feel they would be much use.

I got the new rear bumper fitted last weekend and should anyone want the old one, they can have it FOC.

I've also given the interior a thorough clean and wet vac as the countryside coupled with this weather does nothing for the interior of a car! (The mats are filthy again already :dapprove
My new gear stick gaiter came this week, as the clips had snapped on the other one which proved to be rather annoying whilst driving.

As was pointed out in my media thread, the exhaust seems to sit rather low, even though I have fitted Powerflex mounts to try and counteract this. When the weather gets better I am going to get under the car and have a proper look and if necessary remove and refit the system from cat backwards.

Thanks pal, appreciate it It's got some way to go yet to be compared to some of the RB's on here but hopefully some bodywork issues will be sorted in the spring/summer.
I've noticed as well that the exhaust seems to sit even lower in relation the the cut outs with the new bumper on. Not good.

I found a few pics which created a mini time-lapse of the before, during & after of the new rear bumper being fitted which I thought was quite cool.

I also lost a second number plate to the floods so instead of buying another 3/4 plate which I've been pulled for in the past, I bought a new full size one and got that on, which looks much tidier than the previous, tatty one along with an aluminium footrest that I had bought.
I also bought some AF dressle and gave the grills a quick spritz of that today. They've come up quite well I think, much better than they were! I think come summer I will be removing them and painting them satin black though.

As I've done 12,000 miles since I bought the car (and 6,000 since the last oil/filter change) I've purchased some service items this week to treat it.

Not much has happened with the car lately, although I have serviced a few bits for it's second service in my ownership.
I dropped it off on Wednesday to have the discs, pads and fluid sorted. The brakes feel great now and inspire much more confidence.
They also gave the car a full check over and informed me that my centre pipe had a crack in it. I contacted Scorpion and they wanted £136 plus £13 delivery for a new one! I'm unsure where to go from here and need to contact my local exhaust place to see if they can patch it up or even make me a new pipe up as I'm sure either of these options will work out cheaper.
Whilst shopping around for my service bits I came across a Pipercross panel filter on here, it was only £10 more than a standard Renault one so I snapped it up.
