Jamie's boosted bean

When you say a high pitched whistling, do you mean like a police siren type sound that goes higher the more the turbo spins??

Nah buddy it's just a consistent whistle. Must be the throttle body hose as that's the only thing we had off!

Needs a wash now though mind! And the exhaust sorted as my mounts are shagged, ordered 2 more powerflex items today so will sort that soon!

Also here is a picture of the bay now. We changed the throttle body hose for a black one and will be changing the hard pipes for silver items soon! Really excited, it should look really smart!

If I see this driving around I'll make sure not to try it on at the lights. Great work mate must go like the clappers

Not too much of an update just now, cars barely been touched as ive been occupied fixing the exhaust on the Vitara after smashing it about off road a few weekends ago!

I bought an OMP wheel from a member on here. I will be getting a boss for it next month and wiring the cruise control upto the radio stalk as I no longer use it!

Also decided to give it a clean as it hasn't been cleaned since coming back from Andys where it got pretty filthy!

After cleaning it I phoned my mate with a DA polisher as I scratched my bonnet pretty bad trying to wipe off some bird s**t! Once we got the light on it we realised how swirly the bonnet and roof are, so we will end up doing the whole car probably! I love having a clean car though, it looks awesome!

So plans for the future:

1. Tax it at the start of March
2. Change silicone pipe behind fan to a black one and black hard pipes to stainless pipes
3. Buy wheel boss, fit wheel and move cruise control to radio stalk
4. Paint timing belt cover black as well as top and bottom grills, fog surrounds and rear bumper strip and maybe wing mirror's
5. Take coilovers off and clean them
6. Tracking and camber set up
7. Fix wonky exhaust with new rubbers
8. DRIVE IT AND ENJOY IT!!!

C + C welcome as long as its constructive!

Thanks lads! Hopefully will keep it in the garage until march and then go out and get some decent pictures!

With regards to the boss for the steering wheel, am I right in thinking that I don't need a momo boss to be able to fit the CC buttons through it as I'm putting them on the radio stalk?

You bean on track at Knockhill with this? Don't remember seeing it on yet.

The more boosted Clio's, the better IMO!

Got my new wheel on! Its sitting slightly squint but I know that the tracking is miles out so will get that sorted and hopefully it will be ok! It feels so much nicer, it sitting a little closer to me than the standard one and because its smaller it means that I can move it down a little bit without it touching my knees whilst braking!

The steering is noticeably heavier but it doesn't bother me. I haven't taken it for a proper drive yet but i'm sure it will feel great!

Also painted my timing belt cover as it was looking a bit crappy!

It feels great to finally have it back on the road! Il hopefully get some GoPro footage soon and post it up :)

Its sounding a little tappety after getting the timing belt done so i'm assuming they just put standard oil in it so il be getting that changed. What oil do people recommend for a turbo'd motor?

  172 cup, Impreza P1
As mine will be used on track I went for 10w50 Nanodrive or will probably use 15w50 Motul 300V in future.

Its not so much the grade because its turbo it what oil temps will you spend most of your time at.
