Goes without saying - incredible build.

How have you found the conversion kit itself? Good quality? And how has the support been (if you needed any) from the supplier?

Is the chassis modification fairly complex?

Keep on keepin' on, can't wait to see the finished product.

Thanks mate.

Kit is Ok/questionable in my eyes. If you wanted to get one together quick it’ll be perfect.
The gearbox/chassis mount is 5mm think and the chassis leg is like 1mm box section, so welding the together was hard work. Glad I got someone to do it rather than me.
Exhaust manifold is just s**t, £99 eBay manifold with the civic flange cut off and vband welded on, down pipe doesn’t fit through the subframe.
The actual billet engine and both gearbox mounts are really nice.
Driveshafts seem good also although use the rarer splined Clio outer CV joint.

Only bits I’m using are the mounts and shafts tbh 😂

The guys who designed are helpful if you need them like, I haven’t personally but others have. I know their working on a kit for the MK3 Clio chassis now.

Excellent thank you for the detailed response!

Anyone know of anywhere near the midlands to have a custom NA exhaust manifold made?
John Ashley exhausts in Walsall, my brother had a manifold back (incl sports cat) made by them and it was very well made. They offer manifold solutions too, yours would be a bit special so not sure how long it would take mind. I know my brother just left the car with them for day and enjoyed a once in a lifetime trip into Walsall :ROFLMAO:

I’d never seen this project until the title change. A lot of effort has went into this but I can’t help thinking that’s more than a little notch out of the chassis leg 😂

Great project. And attention to detail instead of just throwing it in.

What width tyre are you running on your 8"Braids.?
Im considering moving from 7" to 8"
Thanks

Buttoned up a few loose ends.

Painted in side the strut tower, undersealed, Subframe on, 3rd dog bone mount fitted, Coolant system in, exhaust manifold and down pipe on, Carbon AC panel fitted, strut brace and strut top adjuster on.

Also fitted my PMS pedal box. Managed to switch the master cylinders around to suit the new brake setup and civic clutch slave cylinder.

The top nuts on the master are completely inaccessible. I had to cut down a spanner to get into them.

Mounted my FPR and brake fluid reservoir.

I’ve misplaced 2 unions to connect the hoses to the reservoir which is annoying 🤦🏻‍♂️

Ticking through the smaller jobs. Fuel hoses next then it’s wiring loom. I’ve order a shifter tower from Turn12 fabrications nearly 2 months ago and can’t start on the inside till that turns up 🙄

Is it wrong to be aroused yet?

Also, stick with the 4-1 manifold, I think Danny ran a 4-2-1 mani on their car for a bit (N/A and supercharged), it sounded mint but f**k me it was loud. I'm sure it was like 110dB 😂

Very nice! Did you think about going ITB's with a carbon airbox?
Like these:
and this:
That combo would look epic in your engine bay, something i'd like to do myself.

Yeah I have but I don’t think the K20 responds that well to ITBs or at least with a mild spec engine. Only what I’ve skim read so could be wrong.
They look awesome tho

Had to order a few parts.
Intake air temp sensor, aeroquip brake unions for the pedal box, Bosch EV14 plug connectors to repin the loom and some coolant blanks.

Throttle cable is routed, just needs finishing off at the throttle body end.

Fitted all the sensors I needed to the throttle body and started trying to remember what each plug in the loom was for and where it was routed.

Next is to painstakingly clean every plug throughly and then start tiding it up.

Not sure how I’ve missed this but it’s epic. Absolutely too work!

I’d love to go down this route and remove the fear of being showered with bits of rod and piston every time I come on boost 😂. I’m just not sure I could part ways with the cash for the kit, I’m sure there’s a Renault parts bin alternative out there if I try hard enough!

Think there’s room for a turbo down the back?

There is always room for a turbo. Just need to decide if you like how the bulkhead looks. [emoji23]

Or go for a huge sidemount turbo over the gearbox.

Cheers mate.

Defo room I’d say. I have 8inches of clearance between the cylinder head and bulk head.

Progress slowed a bit due to life, football, beer, shots and hangovers 😂

And steering rack bolts, the lower rack bolts/nuts aren’t play ball and tightening up for some reason.

Have fitted the pedal box and related bits now, I remade the feed hoses from the reservoir to masters so they’re not kinked at all.
