As far as I'm aware they all do aswell! As you can see the door bars are still duck taped to the diagonal bar so I'd guess they won't give much protection being there. When I get round to actually fitting the cage I might weld them in the right place and use the platform plates I got in nicely packaged box that's not pictured. :rasp:

Did you get spreader plates or platforms? There doesn't look much room for platforms.

Haven't updated for a while.
Cars not really moved until last weekend when I pushed it into the garage and took to bits and ordered some bits for it.

Standard heater system weighs far to much.

So does the battery so ordered a Varley Redtop 25 and mounting cage

The radiator isn't in the best of nick so thought I'd risk one of these

Got this to from tweaks to help relocate the battery

Hoses are looking worse for wear too. Turns out forge make a nice set for the little Frenchy

took the back half of the cage back out

Then removed everything under the scuttle panel along with the radiator, horns and the intake valve thingy

Found aload more sound Deading so removed all that

Destroyed the heater box getting that out. Was feeling the effect of alcohol by this point tho lol

All so removed all the brown sound proofing aswell.
Hoping to get the loom tidied up and get some of the new bits fitted :smile:
Will update more when I do.

Fitted the wheels tonight only to find the front tyres are resting on the Coilovers can't even turn the wheels spacers are required lol
But I have a set of Turinis to get rid of now with 4 decent uniroyal rainsport2

Paint inside abit. Only to tidy it up abit.

Also started putting the coolant hoses on and I dropped the rad into place.

Did a small amount tonight

Taped the windows up so I can paint the front of the cabin.

Started making the coolant lines to the heater

And started moving the loom out the way. Have decided what to do with all the excess wire, wanna go standalone ecu with a custom bare essentials loom.

Anyway got a few bits for the clio

First is a ph1 clio indicator stalk to use the horn switch

Is this a straight swop and will the horn work straight off from plugging it in lol

and thought I'd try these arms

Anyone got any experience with them?

Ive found the 2 bolts that go through the subframe are slightly too big so will need to drill or file the bolt holes in the subframe to take the new bolt.

Never fitted em tbh. I paid 300 quid iirc.

I didn't weigh it tbh no. I like how compact and powerful these little things are. Gets rid of that big bulky plastic blower box lol

Pulled the little cup out the garage over the weekend to take few pics and do a bit of work.

I started by losing abut of camber so the tyres cleared the shocks nicely.

I then fitted my blower fan under the scuttle pan and fitted the T7 heater and ran all the ducting.

Also secured the clocks in place

The moved on to removing the windows and I trail fitted one of the fronts.

Removed some plastic rubbish from the front bumper in between times

Still got lots to do, just had to tax the thing as well.

I just feed it through the inner wing, think I used a bit of copper brake pipe to feed it right through as it was a tighter space
My earth points for the rear lights only just reach.
I can take pics tomoz night if I'm in the garage if that will help bud.

My issues was the passenger side loom splits into 3 so I would need to unplug the loom in the boot lid, bumper light and light cluster. The only issue I have with that is feeding it back round the boot after re-routing but hopefully will manage this if I pull a cable through when pulling it out. I think that's the better option rather than cutting anything.

Any photos of the entry and exit points would be good though to give me some ideas. Thanks.

Haven't seen the clio for little while, but a had a delivery from PMS.

So we have the Comp engine mounts, strengthened wishbones with bearing conversion and weather seals, low temp stat, stud n nut conversion and the preloaded top mount bearings

Should make a nice addition and work well with the roll centre hubs from the group buy. Can't wait to get them so I can get it rolling

Will update as the parts go on.
