Ktec- 172 Turbo.

Not really my cup off tea bodywork wise, but got chatting to a couple off the guys yesterday at Castle Combe when they pulled up and parked next to my 182 in the paddock.

Was testing a few new parts ready for the tuner GP at Donnington next weekend. Seemed to be going okay out on track, had some huge brakes.

I thought that their turbo car didnt work or something iirc, and bb tuning or something had the only running turbod 172?



Whats goin on in the top pic lol, thats alotta smoke or dust!

Well it was out on track, guy said no one could map it in the UK origionally so it ended up going to Holland to be mapped. Now running 11 psi I think. On the way up to Combe he said it is like a bike when you overtake.

Blow 4K its just like a normal 72 to drive, over 4K its all changes. 80-120 in a blur.

LOL no smoke - just lots of fog and mist at 7 am yesterday morning.

it is sweet, but i personally couldnt justify spending 5-7k on it doing, where do they relocate the battery to the boot

You gotta take ur hat off to companies like K-Tec! Just coz they are a tuning company... must still take a lot of hard work to build these awesome cars! Quality guys!

So every car that has this turbo convo has to go over to holland for a re-map seen as no one can do it here ??
