Another session on the Volvo yesterday. Got the new v belts fitted so no embarrassing squealing anymore! Also fitted a new chip which apparently enhances the timing but more importantly removes the boost cut.
Last but not least a new turbo hotside from the 850 T5 was fitted so now running a 16t / 15g hybrid turbo. The car runs so much better now with the new hot side - haven't turned up the boost yet as letting things settle for a while but will eventually give it another few turns on the old manual boost controller!

So much easier to get the turbo out with the engine that way around!

It's running so rich I'm not ruling anything out.
I wouldn't say 30%, more 20%. Sounds a bit gruntier but I'd still prefer more noise. They were taking the piss out of my genuine Swedish tuning exhaust!
