Dunno, maybe one that's not pixelated and shows the car more?! Ha
I've just noticed tonight on mine that it makes a 'clunk/knock' noise when i release the brake pedal when I'am driving or stationary,, which I've never heard before, but if i release it slowly it makes no noise at all, have you ST owners had the same issue ?

Not a penny for both services so far (12.5 and 25k) and not a penny for the upcoming 37.5k service either...I had them thrown in (by the dealership as opposed to being the formal Ford service package) as part of my original order.
£200 is outrageous though - I believe circa £150 to be the going rate, maybe even slightly less.

How do Fiesta's work? I will be on around 7k when mines 12 months old. Due a service then, or will mine be 2 years?

Collins down the road from me have had their fiesta st upgrade pack reviewed ... 270 bhp and 265lbs not too shabby

Thanks for that, Halifax Ford have quoted £140 so that's a bit better and seems reasonable for main dealer.

I did my old focus for £19 including oil once!
I'd service the ST myself but think it's best to get ford dealer stamps on it while it's new.
Really scared of taking my car to some monkeys garage.
Only ever went to Birchdown before, knew car was in good hands there.

One thing I have found out in the last few days, Ford specialists are few and far between!
In the past when I have had Renaults, BMW or VW there are always loads of them about.
I can't find a single Ford specialist in West Yorkshire, hence a trip to the dealers.

So today I came to my senses after over a decade rolling around in Clios and having the ever present luxury of a, for me anyway, reliable and accurate indicator on the dashboard of engine oil level every time they're fired up.
A pal on STOC PMd me asking if I'd ever had consumption issues as his had just had its 25k service, we do similar commutes and similar numbers of track days, and when drained his only had about 60% of its full capacity of oil.
So I checked mine and to my horror there was none visible on the dipstick! I then made sure the car was properly level, left it ten minutes after running then checked again and there was some showing, but it was well below the minimum level.
They hold 4.1 litres to the max level on the dipstick, and it took me just over a litre to get it back up to that level.
I do something on my car every single weekend, clean the outside or the inside or at least jet wash the wheels, and I without fail check and adjust the tyre pressures every single week. But I can't remember the last time I checked the oil. Idiot! From this day forwards it's part of my weekly routine.
If you have an ST, check your oil!

Ouch! How many miles are you up to?
I used 1L in the Golf and I've only done 8k miles - mechanic said it was normal - bs!

I've done 12k with relatively fast stints, and not used a drop yet. First I've heard of the 1.6 ecoboost using oil. Keep an eye on it Mark

So that's a litre in 8k miles on a nicely run in engine. One thought I did have is that the services have been thrown in gratis by my supplying dealer. Not a formal Ford Service package, but something the dealership is doing for me...and as a result I don't get a formal invoice from them, just a checklist of what's been done and a stamp in the book. The oil for these is very specific and from what I've read many dealerships simply throw anything in. If that's the case, if they're trying to keep costs down maybe they just threw anything in and that's why its burned away?
I'm definitely going to keep a proper eye on it from now on and will report what I find and I'll make a point after the next service in 4k miles of asking exactly what oil they put into it.

Very stange mate. Im 9,000 miles and 12 months in and it hasnt used a single drop.

Well, the other chap on STOC also has MP215 so that might have something to do with it. Hadn't thought of that.
Just from running a little extra warranty approved boost, my car's developed an unhealthy thirst for oil? Is that likely?

Mine hasnt and doesn't use any oil. Standard map.
I'm sure others will comment on their situations though.
Surley running more boost, and more torque/power will inevitably put more stress on engine components and therefore tend to use more oil?
I'm no mechanic but could be a theory to investigate.

It's unlikely tbh. Oil is used through worn parts or breathers.
You could have a heavy breathing engine due to the map but I doubt it.
It's more likely worn rings, turbo, stem seals etc.
There's a limit to how much is acceptable of course, so depends if you consider the amount it's using as acceptable

Of course but how much extra boost are we talking? It's not a lot iirc

Exactly, MP215 has hardly turned it into a max boost flame spitting monster!
As for breathers and venting etc. it's another language to me - I understand the most basic principles of internal combustion engines only.
Are there any simple and easily accessible things I could check on the engine to see if I am collecting oil somewhere I shouldn't be?
Not really. A check inside your pipe work for oily sludge would reveal some results but even then most of it gets pushed through the engine and burnt (the vapour not the sludge)
Endoscope to check the bores and stem seals otherwise your talking money changing items to see if it works
