anyone had any problems when fitting a maxogen with the breather pipe on the silicon bend not fitting onto the bit it goes onto behind the throttle body?? was trying to fit mine last night and for the life of me coudnt get it to fit!!! on inspection the diameter of the itg pipe is smaller than the oe one, my hands are cut to bits and i had to refit the standard airpipe cause i gave up, tried a bit of fairy liqued to lube it up but it just popped off again. my car is a ph1 172 but presume all engine parts are the same. anyone had this issue???

the only issue i found was that the pipe seemed a bit short but it still reached (just) and fitted on a bit loose if anything, i had it on a clio 182.

the tube that comes off the airbox to throttle body pipe, a thinner breather pipe that goes behind the coilpack yes. what a mare i had trying to get it on, hands are shredded.

pmsl. im going to try again tonight after work, ran out of light yesterday couldnt see what the hell i was doing, all i could see was blood. i emailed itg about my issue, got an email back from their technical guru, apparently the kit wasnt designed for a ph1, he wasnt aware it even fitted!! says it was designed on a very early ph2 172 cup. however he says if i give him the diameters of my oem breather pipe they will make a new one up for me. ill see how i get on tonight.

Just lube it up and stick a jubilee clip on it, its slightly too short on the ph2 was the only problem I found.

Mine was slipping off the breather too - so took a day and fixed all the annoying things around the bay, tightened my Maxogen bracket as it was a bit loose.

The hose on the breather kept slipping off after a short drive so I got myself one of these

Stays put and it's easier to undo when you need to - full of win!

I just cut a bit off the original pipe and fitted it on the end of the new pipe then fitted it to the breather thingy.
