My 172 Cup

I've finally come back to the clio scene after a year or so off!

Ive had a 182, 2 x 172ff, a 172 exclusive and a 197 cup but never had a 172 cup so decided to take the plunge.

I've ordered some Eibach sportlines as cant deal with the ride height and also booked into BPM for a cambelt change etc

Already done my first mod too (sorry for the dark pictures)

Haha nice one! Im planning on selling mine soon :(! Will be eager to see it on Eibachs too as my horrid Apex springs will be getting replaced by them next month.

If you want to swap that exhaust for one that is probably louder let me know....

Looks like a lovely example and judging by your previous cars / posts I would say its more suited to you than the S3.

Pm me with some details if you want mate. I'm not sure on any details for the system I've got (diameters etc) but have got the original purchase receipt.

Mine get delivered Monday (although I went Kam Racing).

I hope our meeting on the motorway the other week didn't sway your decision to buy a Cup ;)

I am, probably after the New Year. Want to get a few bits sorted first though, don't think I'd dare try sell it with Apex springs on!

Where did you get the plate from Jim?

Looks so very nice! Surprised you haven't got a zorstec on it, Ste said you swear by them!

Plate was from fancy plates mate.

I was actually emailing andy from zorstec re a system for the s3 before I sold it. The lad that crimped ste's cat decat no longer works for the company!

Cheers mate, I need one... Can't argue for £12.

Ahh really? I literally work over the road from them now. (workouts health club if you know it). Yeah I can imagine that he doesn't after that fiasco... How're you finding the cup so far? It really does look tidy mate.

Not driven it much as dephaser is shagged. I'm booked into btm on the 16th to get it sorted and will be letting loose after that!

Evening Bud,

The Cup looks very well.

I've not been on here in years but I've just been chatting to Andy Yates (or Jenson Button as he's better known around here) and he was telling about a guy he worked with in Selby who used to have a 182, then a 197, then a 106 Rallye. I couldn't believe it when we realised the Cliosport connection.

I drove his A3 tonight, it's magical. He still thinks that the torque of the diesel will keep up with my M3.

Hope you're well anyway Bud.

Ha ha ha, quality mate - small world! He was telling me some interesting stories the other day about you in the m3!
