My lovely 182 gone :(and replaced with ph1 225:)

Well after 5 Brilliant months of ownership with my arctic 182 it sadly comes to an end.


The 182 is a fantastic car and it really suprised how well it handled and shifted, its one of the best cars I've owned with how cheap it was to run and modify, and will definitely buy another in the future, I won't be leaving this forum as you lads have been a great help since day 1 and to the forum users (just buy the sodding membership it comes in handy and saves money in the Long run.

i will be doing a project thread with this car has I have a lot planned or it.

Mods include

Recaro trendlines
r26.r spoiler
Clio v6 Airbox
forge actuator
Forge recirc
630cc Siemen deca injectors
2.75 Full stainless
Forge intercooler

A big list I know, but chatting to a few people I should see around 300bhp or near ;)

I keep you guys updated and like I say I'll will be staying so any more info or criticism welcome.

My Clio was written of the other week but with minor/minimal damage, just need a new boot and bumper, but got talking to bomber on here thanks to Gray and we worked out a deal.

Add a hybrid turbo and a decat to that list if you want to be seeing 300bhp. Otherwise no point in the injectors and you'll be looking at circa 270-275 depending how good it is.

Im am know the onwer of the ph1 above, me and gray had a trip to gloucester to pick it up of bomber (nice guy) amd it drives brillinatly.

Im on megansport bmh.01 been speaking to Mj no hybrid turbo needed :) and it will be de-catted.

Hi guys I'm back to owning another 225 and im
Glad to be back in one.

I only picked up the car yesterday and been at work all day today (finish at 4) I decided to give her a detail, it had been stood for a while with bird poo, Mud and a hell of a lot of tar, so I set to work on it.

G101 shuts and sills and badges
Bilberry wheel cleaner on the wheels
Rinsed
Snow foam maxi suds 2
De tarred all over ( literally) using tardis, can't recommend it enough.
Rinsed the washed with dodo sour pour
Dried
2 layers of bouncers 22 wax

No beforehand pics just wanted to crack on.

Nice one Jacob, actual christ will only know how it got so much tar on it recently, they haven't resurfaced anything local?!?! PH2 lights and a decent spoiler will set it off, glad its gone to a decent owner too

Now its decision time on the 182 eek...

edit; dont forget it's got Trophy springs too, 15mm drop apparently ;)

Cheers bomber, I try my best to keep it looking clean, the ph2 lights and spoiler will change the back end completely.

The wheels, tyres and suspension give really good handling. :)

Looks very nice, these always look very smart. How do they compare to the Clio? Are they much quicker or just more grunt from the turbo? They must be a Astra VXR rival? Although i've heard the Astra's suffer from turbo issues and weak gearbox's.

I'd say it's a lot quicker, thing is with the Megane there is hardly any turbo lag, and picks up speed like you wouldn't believe, I was sat at 75mph and felt like I was doing 30mph and that's at 2,500rpm in 6th.

You won't see any more than 285-290 tops. Hybrid is needed to get to a solid 300bhp. A decent stage 2 will make 280 with a cat still fitted, far less hassle and expense.

Little updates, I've treated myself to a forge air intake kit, forge recirc and short shift mod, panel filter will be coming soon, along with r26.r spoiler.

Should be fitted one day this week.
