Monaco 172
Well i've had my 172 for about three months now after flogging my disco.
I just thought I would pop up a few pics and some feedback as to how i've got on.
Purchased the car for £1500 which i thought was a good enough price to me considering the history etc.
it had about 3 months tax and mot
belts done 12 months prior (not dephaser)
not much dealer history but plenty of reciepts
decent stereo
uprated headlight bulbs (bit whiter)
and over all very clean and tidy
Since owning it I have had a couple of minor problems (bellow)
All the tyres were odd
2 x conti's
1 x nakang :dead:
1 x ??? god knows!
so the conti's went on the back 3mm ish (replacing soon)
and I had some new toyo's put on the front (not to everyones taste but I like them)
stereo didnt hold memory (self fix)
headlights faded and crazed (self fix)
changed the rear number plate bulb and the front sidelightes to LED to update the look a bit
painted the calipers
those where after a good clay and polish with autoglym products
next on the list is a service and belts again :S
yes the dephaser has started to make a bit of noise and I think the timing is off a tiny bit, although normally lumpy on idle it just seams a tad more poppy
and it may just be me but it feels down on power a tiny bit to.
so as soon as funds allow (in this order) it will be
full service, belts + dephaser.
two new toyo's
wheel refurb
retrim or aftermarket steering wheel
and after a bit more training - a track session
