Its not how it looks in the pot. You dont buy a McDonalds thinking, whoa, thats a well constructed burger thats had a lot of thought put into it by the intelligent staff. You just eat it, it tastes good, (then you feel physically sick after) but it did the job.
Your sample was used ages ago mate, I bought a 1/4 pot a while back, lovely show wax, definitely a must for any shows but not great fro Scottish weather!
Kev, C1 and Vics posted today. However slight issue on the Glasur. Apparently a "small 3inch pot of cream coluored wax" in my dads eyes means "large tub of p21s and nattys blue"...
No glasur luck! Might also mean its not where I thought I'd left it... Can you wait?
Without looking into this properly yet, could I mix whats left of my 476 colli with 845 ? I hate the way its in a bottle so would be great to combine the 2 and have it in a tin?
Just did my budget attempt, thought I had more 476 than I actually did. Great idea though never even thought of it before, just mashed what was left up with some 845.
Lols! I'm going for whatever comes out the pot! Testing should be so much fun!
Final pics before it sets...
It's actually setting quite well. Lets hope it doesn't set solid. I maybe should have left out the Britemax Vantage seemed a tad lumpy when mashing but melted down okay.
Checked this morning. All set, it's actually a similar colour to Bos which is crazy with all the things I threw in! Gave it a little test, so smooth and oily, can feel the Vics Red coming through in it, spreads with nice coverage which is good, like a nice oily wax.
I think i'll call it Vintage Hybrid (with Bos label ).
