Need thoughts on a 172 Cup

  LY 182
Hey guys. Not much of a poster round here, but been a huge fun of RS Clio's for ages.

I've been offered a really clean example of a 172 cup light weight model.

Currently I drive a Mk6 Fiesta Zetec S which I guess has a lot more modern features, with air con, ABS etc.

I'm a bit of a n00b with the 172 technical stuff. Are 172's still practical for daily drivers? I've got 4 years driving experience so I should be able to handle it. Just wanted to know how it would compare to say a full fat 182.

Appreciate any response.

Thanks.
