OEM+ RS Clio 182

I've recently purchased a Clio 182 after selling my Mk4 Golf 1.8T. I was on the market for a quick hot hatch and considered an Ibiza Cupra whoever after spotting my Clio in the local Renault dealership I decided I wanted it!

It's in mint condition and covered just 26000 miles with full service history last service carried out just 2000 miles ago.

I'll let the pictures do the talking...

My first modification was a Carbon Fibre engine cover which I picked up at a reasonable price.

CF engine cover fitted and engine bay given a good clean over

My next modification was yellow fog lights. I'm sure its abit of a marmite modifcation for some of you but I really like it!

I'm not sure about the cambelt i've got it booked in on Tuesday to find out if not i'll be forking out :dapprove:

That doesn't make sense to me!!

Forgot to mention the tints will be coming off this weekend, they were on when I bought the car it was the only downside on the car.

I thought the only difference between the cup was suspension and anthracite wheeels apart from the interior? Therefore installing H&R coilovers would replace the whole suspension system so the cup suspension would go to waste.

I did the fogs using a special paint, it's a transparent yellow. I'll get the name of it for you as I can't remember off the top of my head.

A cup is the one with the nasty interior, a Cup Packed car has everything your car has interior + Xenons ect, but it also has the Nice touches such as the cup spoiler and cup splitter, aswell as the Cup anthracite wheels the better suspension set up.

Well i'm happy with the spoiler and I was planning to do the wheels anthracite anyway. Also i'll get a splitter when one pops up in the classified section.

The paint I used for fogs was just a yellow glass paint from Hobbycraft, my mate give me if after doing his.

Well by comfort I meant climate control and seats. Also if you buy a decent set of coilovers they arn't too bad.

Update
Not much progress really as i'm saving up for my summer holiday. However, bought a rear OMP strut brace off a member on here today and fitted it when I got home. Feels like back ends alot stiffer and handling has improved.

Also removed those awful tints, will get pictures of those once i've cleaned the car.

There are some right bitchy people on here.

You're spot on, so many people get hung up on the cup packs... and then fit coilovers/ change their wheels anyway.

To anyone not on cs the spoiler makes no difference, so i cant see why people are grumbling.

With a non 182 cupped car you have a wider choice of coilovers also

Havn't updated this thread for a while but made a few new changes...

Wrapped my badge

Got rid of the cone filter for a V6 Airbox with itg panel filter

Stripped the back seats out and got a RS192 exhaust, decat and silvertec bulbs for the rear indicators

Shall be sorting out the position of the exits this weekend
