There is no way its worth £8100, id say £7000 tops if you can find some one to buy it.

Balls, it'll go for more than that. 9 months warranty still, and 10k miles? If its a minter then put it in for £7700 and it will shift. There were three at that price on Pistonheads and they all had more mileage and were older.

£8100 is a good asking price after all you never get the asking price so you might as well start off higher..

Your mileage is low and your service is done and you still ahve warranty so i'd start of a £8100 and see how you go i don't think thats a bad price

For reference, both my friend and I both bought identical 172 Cups in the last 3 weeks. Both were November 2003, mint, but they did both have CLIMATE CONTROL which was a £600 option and only available on the last of the 2003s.

His was £8200 from a private car dealer. Half-worn front tyres but 7600 miles. Yes, really. Very clean but worn front seat and rust on the hubs showing it had not been garaged, and had been used as a town runabout and parked on the road.

Mine was £7800 FROM A MAIN DEALER and had 21500 miles and four brand new tyres. It had been garaged all its' life and cleaned exhaustively. Its cleaner than my friend's one (especially around hubs, under the bonnet, places like that), and creaks and rattles less. Seems to have had a much easier life.

That should give you some idea.

Oh and yes, my mate is gutted as he paid more than me for a car that isn't as good :D

Yeah but traders are w*****s and will screw you. With the greatest respect to your brother, he would then put it up for £8100!

I still say that it is worth £7500-8000-ish privately. You may want to put it below £8k as £7900 will catch the eye more for prospective buyers. More interest is the key to selling; once someone has made the journey to see what is obviously a fine car with low miles then they are very likely to buy it. Then haggle better.

I agree....as for the 182Cup he would have put it up at £10500 minimum but its not the type of car they sell....normally BMW,Audi,Merc ETC.
