I was a PC gamer for years, i think my first PC was a 486 with a 100mb hard drive. But for the last 10 years I've only really used PCs for work and surfing, probably mainly due to cost, and the fact that consoles are just more convenient.
I've got no doubt that a game experienced on a monster PC, with headphones, sat 2 feet away from a 24" monitor is an awesome experience and probably better than a console can offer. However, I'll stick with my sofa, and a console that costs a fraction of the price and offers a similar experience. I can live with that.
As far as controls go, K&M are far more intuitive and easier to pick up. Pads take a while to get used to and are not as accurate, but then again you don't need to rest them on anything and to be sat at a desk.
I guess its like comparing an expensive performance car with a cheap hot hatch. Can't really compete in terms of performance, but you'll have just as much in either.
