Hi, this is my first post! After a long time searching, I've managed to get myself a Clio 172! Was originally going to go for a 182, but I couldnt find any without the Cup packs, as since i'm only 22 my insurance company will not insure me on a car that's been 'modified'. Tried other companies but they all sing the same tune. In the end I put a deposit down on a 53 reg in Monaco Blue which I pick up on Dec 23rd. Even has cruise control w/speed limiter and a cd changer, which is nice. The best Christmas presents are definately the ones you buy for yourself!

I told the insurance company that 'it's got only factory fit options' didn't elaborate further. It's been done to death this one and the general consensus was that they can't charge you for it as it's not a modification. After all, the cup has the same suspension and is the same group 16.... although isn't/wasn't the Trophy group 17?
