Query RE fitting a Boss/ aftermarket wheel

I'm in the process of threading the wires through the boss to bolt it on.

I've done the air bag wires and the black and red wire (horn I think).

What do I do with the last connector? It's a black square block type thing. No way is it fitting through the hole in the boss.

Help? Mk2 ph2 btw

It will fit through mate, i've got an OMP one and its abit tight but it does go.

Make sure your steering angle sensor is lined up properly mate, it gave me loads of problems when mine was out.

In the top left hand corner of the sensor there is a little window. When you turn the inner ring of the sensor you will movement in the window, you have to work it out from that. Its pretty easy to work out i'm just sh*t at explaining things lol.

It will not fit mate! Sorry to tell you the bad news! I had the same problem, for some reason the omp boss does not fit, had to send mine back and got a MOMO one that fits perfect
Problem with the omp is the hole for the wires to go through is simply not big enough

Other one is for the cruise switches off the top of my head.

I believe the techinical term is "thats shagged". Also be very careful with the rotary encoder for the esp steering angle.

What are my options with the CC being broke if I put my standard wheel on?

I think this is what has happened. I didn't realise there were different kinds for the Clio. Hole was too small but I couldn't tell by looking at it if it was going to fit.

Trying to prise it in has knackered the ribbon wires for the cruise control.

Also i tried to line up the spinning sensor thing, thought i did it right but the TC light is still on so either i've done it wrong or i've broke it.

You shouldn't have broke it mate. If the steering angle sensor is set right and you still get ESP + serv light's you will probably need steering angle reset to 0 degrees. This happened to me and it had to go to Renault to be sorted, cost me £50.

I prefer just to get work done for me, that way I know it will be right and i'm not going to ruin my car. Also i can drop my car off in the morning and it can have what ever work im having done when im sleeping, then i wake up and my car is back outside my house.

The OMP will fit Luke, its the fitter thats the problem

Mine was really tight, but it still fit fine.

Mine must have been different then mate because there wasn't a chance in hell that the CC connections was going to fit through that hole. No way.

I've bought a momo boss now anyway. I wouldn't recommend OMP boss for RS cars with cruise control. If you've not got CC then it's fine
