Hello

I currently have a Renault 5 gt turbo, with side exit exhaust front mount intercooler, carb slightly fettled running 15 psi, standard otherwise.
(nippy enough) and wanted to make the progression on to a 172, mainly due to being quicker standard and importantly newerish,
Just wanted an idea from any ex 5 owners who've run a simiiarly standard spec, if theres much difference, or if the moves worthwhile etc.

cant help with the 5 ownership but love my phase 1 had it 7months and still get that feeling when i boot it

I had a 5 gt turbo, and whilst not going straight from that to the 182 I have now.

Its still worthwhile. My spec was slightly better on the gtt front too. Sure its not as quick but they are still good fun.
